(ooc. Yes! OR at least most of it! He needs to get something occasionally.)
He breathed out a little. Oh! Okay.
He delt.

(ooc. there will always be some slang that just EVERYONE knows, ya know?)
Hmmm...
Good hand.
It's always been a good thing that she had a good poker face. She blamed Jules. Eventually, you just have to stop being able to show how much you want to laugh at her jokes when you're sitting in the middle of church.

(ooc. yep!)
Daxton had a decent hand, it wasn't brilliant. He put on a mask of indifference. He knew his poker face wasn't great, but it usually did the job.

And thus, they began playing. And chatting a little. And playing more. And chatting more. And on and on and on till it got very late.

Daxton looked at the huge candle they had been playin bye, that was now dying, and the huge fire place was long dead.
He looked at Deidra. "It's late, I think," he said.

"Or it's early." She said, shuffling the deck. "Either, I suppose I could do with sleep. All the excitement of the day is rather tiring."

He chuckled.
With a little sarcasm he said, "yes, you do seem exausted."

She rolled her eyes at him and went over to the bed. It was comfy. And these pillows were nice. She decided that when they had to move back to the courts, she was taking these pillows with her and they would be her most prized possessions until they got flat. They were seriously that comfy. If it ever came down to Juliet or these pillows, Juliet would be a close second. These pillows were fantastic.
She gave a yawn and closed her eyes. She knew she wouldn't fall asleep for a few more minutes and she probably should have found a nightdress, but oh well.

Daxton went, taking off his shirt, out of the room to an ajointing one for a few minutes. He'd always before bed, done a few strength building things he'd learned a few years ago when his father had made him live with some commoners for a year and a half. Or well not learned, rather, picked up from the ones that didn't work in the fields everyday. But they helped, especially with sword skills. Though Langston still kicked his butt.
When he finished he threw water on his face and wiped off his neck and arms then went to lay in the bed. He was out pretty quickly.

(ooc. Skip ahead a few weeks and have either one of the fathers visiting them or them back at court? My post will apply either way)
Dei was reading. Of course, she really never did anything else. After all, as a princess and queen in training, reading books on law and courtly procedure was mandatory and requested. So she that's what she was doing. She was curled up in a nice chair near a window and the sun was shining, the birds were singing, it was a lovely day outside, and she was inside. Because these books will only read themselves if she was in Roscoi. And she wasn't. So they will not read themselves.
Someone came near her, probably someone telling her to do something outside and get some sun and to be less pale.

(ooc. Uh...hm... I guess still at their house type thing... Usually it's months between a departure and return to court...)
Daxton tapped Deidra on the shoulder.
"We have a guest," Dax said. "They've placed them outside and I'm pretty sure no one would be too mad about you reading books about things most of us grow up learning. How do you read those things anyway?"
Daxton despised, openly, the books on court behavior. Why he should have to be stiff and proper all the time there made no sense to him, and all those rules about parties, and what's appropriate. It's too fancy. Dear Mara, there's even a whole thing about FANS!

"It's quite simple. I pretend it's a game and suddenly, those books are much better." She said. "I don't know why you can't, Old Man."
She put her book away.
"Who's visiting? Do I need to be polite and nice or can I just glare at them for interrupting my reading?" She asked.

"A game?" he said. "Well, that decribes Court quite well."
He offered her a hand.
"I'm sure they'd much rather see your smile than your wrath, but it's up to you."

She took the hand with a smile.
"Oh, but I've spent my entire life being told that everyone should see my smile because to see my wrath is to invoke the displeasure of torture." She answered. "So it shall indeed depend on whom has come to visit. Lead away, dear."

He raised a brow at her.
"I think I may want to stay on your good side." he said, leading her down the stairs to the patio, where her father awaited her.
