"I probably tripped over my shoe." he said. "I'm good on rough surfaces, never even tripped in the woods. But flat surfaces.... and fire... They just trip me up.

"So order your shoes with more dents in the soles to give friction." She said, shaking her head. Silly man.

"Friction?" he said, as though he had no clue what that was.
Daxton gave her a goofy smile.

She rolled her eyes and hit him upside the head.
"Watch it or that's how the next fifty or so years of your life is gonna go. If you haven't already forgotten, as of a few hours ago, I'm officially your blushing bride." She said.
Not that Juliet hadn't already worked all the blushes she might ever have out of her already.

He held back a smile as he humbly said,
"Yes, dear."

Henpecked husband? She could get used to that.
She stepped forward and looked around a bit. It looked like the statue was the only thing in there. Not even a tapestry hung on the wall, or for that matter, a window. Almost like, with a few more furnishings, it could have been a prison for a nobleman or woman.

"Who do you think it was?" he asked. "I don't see any plackards."
The statue was tall. Obviously important, the figure seemingly Knightly, but whether armor or just really fancy metal work, he couldn't quite tell.

"Put a bed and a few other things in here and it could be a prison for a nobleman or woman." She said. "My best guess. You, dear?"

He nodded.
"I could see that," he said, but still looked around, "Or a worship room. depends on who the statue is."

"Shall we ask around later?" She asked. "Let's move on to the next room."

He nodded.
"Sounds like a plan." He offered her his arm, and took one of the torches just for them to carry around just in case of another unlit room.

They walked along through more rooms and all were well lit. Soon, however, it was truly nighttime and most likely time for them to retire to a bed room.

Daxton looked around.
"I'm fairly certian this is our room," he said.

He pointed at a table.
"So, do you know how to play Rummy?" he asked, pulling out a deck of cards.
