Delvin smirked. "I'll take that as a no," he said. "It is almost mid-day."
Usually to get people up in the mornings, he made pancakes, but he wasn't sure if it would work on Thena. 'Worth a shot,' Delvin though. He wasn't a very good cook but pancakes were easy enough, basically the only thing he could make.
He headed to the kitchen and got started.

And now she felt like she was physically in pain. She opened her eyes alittle, blinded by the sun and looked down at her arms. In her sleep she had opened some old wounds on her arms and they were bleeding. It was just then the pain actually hit her and she cried out.
She put a hand to her forehead and it felt hot and sweaty. Though all of her felt like it was on fire.

Delvin heard a scream, he ran up the stairs. He crashed into Thena's room. "Thena? Whats wrong?" Delvin asked.
The girl was covered in sweat and looked like she was bleeding along her arms. Thena looked like she was in complete terror. "Athena! Thena! Brambles! Calm down, you safe. It's me, Delvin. Your safe."

She began calming down.
"Athena, calm yourself down. You're fine." She thought. The feeling of dread stayed
"Then why are you still freaking out, you useless scum?" The other voice she knew too well said in her head.
She simply shuddered and looked up.

Delvin saw the terror go out of her eyes. Most of it at least. He sighed. He got up and went to the closet to get the medical kit. He took out stuff to take care of her arms.
"What happened? Are you okay?" Delvin asked sitting next to her. He wasn't used to having girls randomly screaming and waking up with cuts on their arms that he could swear weren't there the day before.

She still felt hot and sweaty and tired and physically drained and just kinda sick. But she still nodded.

Delvin was probably not going to get any word answers out of her any time soon by the looks of it. He just cleaned and bandaged her arms in silence. When he finished, he took the cloth he had used to clean out the wounds in the trash and put the medical kit back.
He threw her a towel. "There is a sink in the next room on the right. There is food down stairs if you care to eat." he said. "Even if you don't want food, I need to know when you wish to leave."

She didn't catch the towel. The room began spinning and her vision doubled. And she fell on the bed and knew no more.

Delvin heard a thump and turned. 'Oh, you have got to be kidding me.' he thought as he saw the girl had fainted. He couldn't take her to the local healer, He wouldn't be able to get her there before someone took her somewhere else and told him he wasn't taking good enough care of her.
He went over to her picked her up and set her back on the bed. This is not what he expected when he grabbed the girl originally. Delvin placed a cold wet towel on her head and brought up some broth- there was no way she was going to be able to keep down something solid at this point.
He waited.

Athena came to probably a few hours later. Well when she opened her eyes it was well past noon and it obviously colder. But she was feeling better. And she should have gotten started by now. She looked over. Delvin had his eyes closed. Oh well, she could find her own way.
She got up shakingly and walked downstairs. The crowd had disappeared(Thank God!) and there was a clear path into the forest from where she was. So she started walking. Not many people were out so she made it into the forest with relatively no problem. She walked cautiously through the forest.
"I wish Acer and Della were here. This would be so much more fun." She muttered. A hand landed on her shoulder and she let out a yelp.

Delvin had accidently fallen asleep, that 4 hour run probably wasnt' his best decision in the world. When he woke up Athena wasn't there. He went down stairs to see if she was there, she wasn't. He looked outside, he didn't see her. Now he was worried. She had probably had gone.
Delvin took a couple seconds to think it over. If he brought her back she would just run again, but the girl was sick and hadn't eaten in what was running on two days. He couldn't in good conscience let her go. Thankfully she had no idea how to cover her tracks and he found her quickly.
When he caught up with her he put his hand on her shoulder. "Friends do tend to make hikes a lot more fun." he said. "If your really trying to run you really should take a course in covering your tracks, it would make it a lot easier for you to get away quicker."

"Damnit. I knew I was forgettting to do something." She muttered. "Did you seriously have to come after me? It's five in the afternoon. And it's not like you actually care anyway."
She turned around and glared at him.

Delvin shrugged. "I never said I didn't care," he said. "You also haven't eaten in what is probably running on two days, you need food. You are within 20 feet of a bear cave, a bear that is hungry at that. You don't know your way around these woods. You have nothing with you, no water, no food. If I let you go you would be dead in about two, maybe three days if your lucky."

Athena rolled her eyes.
"You're bluffing." She said. "And it's winter. Bears hibernate. Meaning what's ever in that cave is asleep. There's a willow tree over there. Willows only grow near water, meaning that there is a water source nearby. Which means fish and possibly berries. I am able to tell the difference between poisonous and nonpoisonious berries as well. I highly doubt I would die."

"Fine, I'll just leave you then." Delvin said turning.
The problem with the bear near the encampment is that the younger kids tended to pick on it a lot and it gave up on hibernation. Then there were the wolves on the other side waiting for the bear to chase something to them that they could share. The water near the willow was contaminated since many people like to dump their waste in it. But she didn't know this. Like he had said, she didn't know the area.
