"I think it's pretty obvious. She was a black widow." Kenna said. "Though she was pretty cunning at it. I know how you feel. I'm in over my head with half the wedding stuff. But it's pretty simple still."

"She did tend to be viscous." Tavi agreed. "If I hear another word about flowers, I might just kill my self. Or fabric. Or dresses. Or..." His voice faded out and became muttering random words.

Kenna smiled.
"We've got all that planned out. We started planning when I was eighteen and he was twenty two. We knew it wasn't going to happen for awhile, but we figured "what the hell?" What I really meant was the waiting and getting everyone else ready." She said. "I'm excited. My marriage was arranged, but I'm in love with him and he's in love with me. We had good luck."

Tavi smiled, he was happy for his friend. "Yes, you did get very luck didn't you?" he said. "Rea and I never really discussed marriage plans, we were to busy being in denial. I wasn't in the best situation to plan a wedding either. It is good that you and Branndon(sp?) have everything planned out though."

(brandon love. brandon. you got the name right, atleast. ) "Denial is a beautiful thing." Kenna murmered. "Yeah, it is. We havent' sent out the invititations yet. We're doing that in a few weeks, which is my main task right now. What planning stage are you at with Rhea?"

(better than i did with Kenna's name...)
Tavi smirked, "That it is." he said. "When is the date set? The stage in which you watch Rea, my mother, and her mother fighting over whether pink or purple would look better and whether daisys or carnations should be used in Rea's bouquet."

(hell yeah)
"Oh, so the anger period? I went through that. Well, actually Brandon and his mother went through that. She didn't remember his allergy to lilies and kept insisting on them. I hate lilies also, so I rooted him on. It was funny." Kenna said. "He also was quite adamant about our colors being red and black. Which I like. I got a red dress, so I'm quite happy about this."

"Yes, that is one way to sum it up, i would call it more of a headache period." Tavi said. "I'm sure you will look brilliant!"

"I better look bloody brilliant. Because if I don't, there is going to be hell to pay." Kenna said. "I have to keep that damn dress for the rest of my life, since wedding dresses are just that important and if I don't look good in it....may God protect the mirror, my mother in law who told me I looked beautiful in it and some other people..."

"Good thing the dress is red," Tavi muttered. "I never knew you could get so upset over a wedding dress. Unless your mother in law hates you, I'm sure her opinion is correct."

(her dress: www.busyblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2006/03/redwedding.JPG ) "She does hate me but since this day has to be perfect in her eyes, she won't lie." She said. "She's just really really unfashionable. And normally, I could careless about a dress. But this is a rather important dress, don't you think?"

Tavi nodded assent. "Yes, it is a very important dress," he agreed. "For the bride at least, but I personally have never gotten why a dress that you where for one day, or all the decorations, and flowers are so important. You where and use them once. Then the proceed to gain dust."
Tavi at his core, was practical.

"Because it's the most important day of your life! It's the day you get bonded to someone forever! Marriage isn't easily ended. Just by death or when a husband decides to send his wife away to a convent." Kenna said. "And some brides do reuse their dress. My Aunt Bertha would wear her wedding dress every anniversary. When my Uncle Irving got married, his wife reused her mother's wedding gown. With many women, the dress gets worn out from use."
She smiled alittle.
"With the decorations, you sell them afterwards. Or, depending on what they were, you can use them for the rest of your life. Flowers will die easily, but they can be cheap. Ribbon, you can use that for anything. Vases can be reused, and so can candles. Alot of stuff can be reused." She said.

"Some how I don't see Rea doing that." Tavi said. "As much as you can sell or reuse the decorations, I still don't understand the huge horah over signing a piece of paper. Especially to someone you don't even love." Tavi's jaw set. "I don't see the bond as anything put political. For you i know you it is different, you love him."

"You're still bonded." She said, gently. "Rea is going to be the woman you marry, the mother of your future children. Whether or not you love her, or even like her, that has to count for something. Love may have nothing to do with it, but respect does. Try to respect her for her virtues instead of despising her for her flaws."
