Phyre nodded. "Yeah i get it. I have a couple of friends that are like that. They are kind of like Earth and water in a way. They balance each other out." Phyre said.

Rastus nodded.
"Yeah." He said. "Well, Phyre, I gotta ask, what do you think of our city?"

Phyre looke around. "It isn't what I expected, it is nice though. It is interesting, the people and the shops are different from the ones where I'm from. The people are definatly more violent." Phyre said. His impression of the city was just that it was odd.

"Well, the city is the city. I would imagine that it would be alot different from where you're from." Rastus said. "Where are you from anyway?"

"May hasn't told you?" Phyre asked.

"May wouldn't tell me if she was an hour away from dying and wanted us to come visit." Rastus said. "And Aeron's probably on crack so what he told, I'm not going to believe."

"I'm from the Woodlands." Phyre answered simply.

"So Aeron's not on crack?" Rastus asked. "Well, he still is, but he was right? Damn. That's a first. What's it like there?"

"Yeah, he was telling the truth." Phyre said. "It is nice, quite but busy. Most people are fit and the kids tend to race often. We all know our way around the forest, it is almost natural. You take one occupation when your about 10 to 13, and from then on you are apprenticed. There aren't many unnatural deaths. Everyone knows each other and it is hard to keep a secret."

"Oh." Rastus said. "I'm not really used to that. I grew up here. Well, in Shireton technically, but that's just a suburb of here. You get a job when you can, and hopefully you like it. And I don't know many who have died of natural causes recently. Or natural causes that weren't brought on by something else."

"Yeah, They places are different. You probably would hate it there, since you have grown up here." Phyre said. "I wouldn't guess so, people seem to have knives in their backs a lot around here..."

Rastus laughed dryly.
"Both literally and figuratively." He said. "And I hate nature, so yes, I would hate it where you're from, if Aunt Jay's descriptions of what life in her settlement was like are accurate."

Phyre grimaced.
"I'd say she would be pretty close, from the few stories I've heard about the old settlement they are very simlar. The adults don't talk much about their past around the settlement." Phyre said.

"No, they wouldn't." Rastus said. The woodlands had been a part of the last war. They knew how to survive, but some of then didn't want to fight anymore, as Aunt Jay had put it and retreated to the sanctity of the forest.

"The ones that do, tell interesting stories though. One tells about how there was a couple that went into the office of Captian Smith, and then got engaged over the man's dead body." Phyre said. "One of his friends told about how the last place was raided and there was one woman, Karina- she had black hair I think- helped fight against the Imperial soldiers with her sister, Sarah, at her side. Then the two of them lead a jail break. The way the tell the stories always seems like the stuff of fairy tales to me."
(ooc. Remember to Phyre the first war is still a little like a myth or legend to him)
