Looking at War~Phyre, Rast~

[Phyre]

Phyre was just hanging out in the market place. May had a client that she needed to take so he had wandered into the city. It wasn't all that busy but there was still a good amount of traffic. Someone was playing a guitar, a girl was selling flowers, there were people just hanging out. It was kinda odd to think the town was under threat of war, but there were still the signs, glints of metal, people standing in packs.

He heard someone call his name and turned. "Hello?" Phyre said.

[Rastus]

"Phyre! Didn't May tell you not to wander the city alone?" Rastus said, catching up with him. He had just spent the night with a girl he met the night before and he looked like hell. Worth it.

"Whatcha doin' here anyway?" He asked. "Shouldn't you and May be off doing couple stuff?"

[Phyre]

"Oh, Hey, Rastus. No, she told me not to go into the city with out a weapon. I brought a weapon." Phyre said. "May is off getting money. She had a client she couldn't cancel on. Other wise we probably would be off doing couple stuff. You look like hell by the way."

[Rastus]

"Thanks." He said, sarcastically. "And it really doesn't matter about the weapon. The buddy system is the only proven solution to not getting killed. And of course she'd be off with a client. She loves those woods."

[Phyre]

"Your welcome." Phyre said. "Oh I hadn't been told that one. She did seem happy to get out of the city." 'Or away from me,' he added in his head.

[Rastus]

"She hates the city. It's too confining. If it had just been you two out in the woods for years, she would never leave. But since it's the city..." Rastus said, trailing off. "And I should probably avoid her for a few days..."

[Phyre]

Phyre raised his eyebrows. "I wouldn't be so sure on that. She was more than happy to come back to the city when she brought me here." Phyre said. "Why do you need to avoid her? What did you do?"

[Rastus]

"I did nothing that she wasn't expecting. She's just a pain the in ass sometimes and will kick my ass for absolutely no reason." Rastus said. "And the reason she was happy to be back is because she wanted you to meet her dad. She's like my little sister, I know her moods and why she's feeling them."

[Phyre]

Phyre smiled. "Do you think everyone is a pain in the ass?" Phyre asked. He nodded. "I guess that would be the reason."

Phyre saw that May had kissed Aeron back. There was something in this city she loved, and it probably wasn't Phyre.

[Rastus]

"Everyone and everything is a pain in the ass. The monkey on my back is a pain in the ass. The lovesick puppy is a pain in the ass. The oblivious cat is a pain in the ass. The smart panda is a pain in the ass, and the artsy dolphin is a pain in the ass." Rastus said.

[Phyre]

"Monkey? Puppy? Cat? Panda? Dolphin? You have an animal for all of them?" Phyre asked. "That is an odd way to look at your friends."

[Rastus]

"You've met them. That's what they are. Elly's a monkey, May's a cat, Lily's a dolphin(you can tell I ran out of ideas), Gabe is a panda, and Aeron is a puppy." Rastus said. "I've known them for way too. And Gabe is my brother, not my friend. Big difference."

[Phyre]

"Yeah, I guess i can see that. Well except Lily, she seems more like a zebra maybe?" Phyre suggested. "Weren't all of you mother friends? May told me you all have known each other since you were born basically."

[Rastus]

"She does, but I can't change the animals. This has set down for years." Rastus said. "Yeah, Dear Old Mum was friends with May's parents and Aeron and Elly's parents."

[Phyre]

Phyre nodded. "Yeah I get it. How did they get the animals? Did you just randomly say your this animal to everybody one day?" Phyre asked. "Elly's mom and May's were basically best friends right?"
