Looking at War~Phyre, Rast~

[Phyre]

Phyre nodded. "Mark wouldn't let me disobey the rules when I went through that stage. He made sure I got over it very quickly." Phyre said. "At least your smart about it."

[Rastus]

"Had to be. No father figure to tell me what was wrong and what was right. Stupid bastard ain't around." Rastus said. "Keeps me on my guard though, because of him and what he was."

[Phyre]

"What are the chances he would come back and get you though?" Phyre asked. "He didn't care then why would he now?"

[Rastus]

"My father was Rasselian. Which makes me and Gabe targets should they ever do another round of kidnapping the part Rassi people and taking them away. He's not coming back. He didn't care when he left Mom, he didn't care when Mom sent him a letter after we were born, and he didn't care when Gabe sent him a lettter, asking him if we could meet." Rastus said. "To me, he's dead. It's what he was though that may be the undoing of all of us."

[Phyre]

"So, it wouldn't technically be him kidnapping you if he did?" Phyre said. "I wouldn't care much about a guy like that either. He seems like a dead asshole."

[Rastus]

Rastus smirked.

"If I ever meet him, he is." Rast said. "Mum always said that I looked like him. Gabe always took after her.What's your sob story about your parents?"

[Phyre]

"Have none. They are both still alive and visit me every few days when I'm working. They apprenticed me to mark when I was about ten, as is custom in my town." Phyre said.

All of the people in the city seemed to have someone missing or someone dead in their life. Phyre realized just how sheltered he was compared to May.

[Rastus]

"Oh." Rastus said. "Well, that's good then."

Phyre didn't seem to have a general grasp of the pain that war and loss caused. It was like he was still a child in someways.

[Phyre]

"Yeah I guess." Phyre said. "You all have been through a lot. I must seem really innocent."

[Rastus]

"You're with May. No way are you that innocent." Rastus said. "She likes bad boys, so you must have attracted her somehow."

[Phyre]

Phyre smirked. "I guess so." Phyre said. "I could very well be the exception to the rule though."

[Rastus]

"Nah. The rebound for you will be the exception to the rule if you two ever break up." Rastus said.

[Phyre]

Phyre nodded. "What about you? May said you don't normally get into relationships. Any exceptions to that rule?" Phyre asked.

[Rastus]

Rastus shrugged.

"The monkey on my back." He said.

[Phyre]

"Oh." Phyre said. Aeron likes May, Rast like Elly. "Does Gabe like Lily or vise versa?"
