She walked back into the clearing where they were most likely settling down for the night.
"Happy?" She asked, somewhat indignantly.

Smith smiled.
"Delighted." he said.

"Good, don't get used to it. As soon as I can, I'm changing and never wearing a dress again." She said.

Smith laughed.
"What ever burns your fire, love." he said.
Kevin just shook his head.

"Never really been one for fires." Ingrid said, sitting down on a fallen tree nearby. It was dusk, maybe thirty minutes before complete darkness.

Smith frowned. Not fond of Fires?
"You'll have to excuse him, he's very sheltered, doesn't really talk to those outside of our tribe." Kevin said.

She nodded.
Twas a truth, she wasn't fond of fire. It was too destructive, if it should get out of hand, for her tastes. She admitted that it was useful, but she still just didn't like it.

She just stared at the whimpering man.
"You are older than three right?"

"Fine, but it's your job to make sure that he takes his nap." Ingrid told Kevin.

The temperature was dropping fast, as temperatures were wont to do at night. After all, it tended to be cooler at night in general.
And it was getting dark fast. Then again, nightfall usually hit fast.
"I think I'm going to try to get some sleep. Morning will come fast." She said, lowering herself onto the dry ground and amongst the foliage and laid down, closing her eyes. Bugs didn't bother her particularly, so she felt no reason to not be on the ground.

Kevin and Smith went to bed a little while after her.
When they woke up in the morning, Kevin had made a small smokeless fire and was cooking the animal he'd caught that morning.

"Good morning." Muttered Ingrid.
She was still tired, a cold night on the ground will do that to you. But she was just energized enough that in a few minutes she could walk the rest of the way to camp, spy around for a while and then start heading back.
