Smith and Kevin nodded.
"Didn't you get invited to that?" Smith asked Kevin, muttering.
"Out of politics." Kevin said back, muttering.
"And you didn't go out of politics."
"Exactly."

She continued forward, not listening to the conversation that didn't involve her. Birds quickly fled from trees, a fact that did not escape her notice. She quickly looked around and saw a thick covering of leaves up high.
"Hide." She said to them, as she scurried up the tree and concealed herself well amongst the branches.

Kevin and Smith were soon lost among very large tree roots.

Just as she expected, a group of hunters from the Earth Bender tribe passed by, just below where she was. Once they had passed far enough that it was unlikely that they would double back and attack, she breathed again and hopped down from the tree quickly and silently. The tree branch she was on was very very high and had someone not of her tribe attempted that jump, they might have broken their neck. But her? She was golden.
"Ready to continue?" She asked quietly but loud enough that people hiding near by would hear.

Kevin and Smith stood and dusted themselves off.
"Beautiful jump there, gorgeous." Smith said, with a wink.
Kevin rolled his eyes and they started along again.

She rolled her eyes.
"I'd say about two hours before nightfall." She said. "Let's try to cover as much ground as possible in that time."

Smith and Kevin nodded, and they increased their pace a little.

At nightfall, she stopped.
"Here is as good a place as any to set up a camp."
It might not be safe to light a fire. If there were people nearby who knew that people weren't supposed to be in the area, a fire and smoke would only alert them to their location.

Kevin and Smith nodded.
"You know, if we dressed you up at someone from the fire tribe we wouldn't have to travel as stealthily," Smith commented to Ingrid.

"...And you happen to have an extra set of clothes that just magically happen to fit me on hand?" She asked.

Smith grinned, and pulled out Kevin's pack, and threw a dress at her.
"Try that." he said.

"...And why do you carry a dress around in your pack?" She asked. "You know, I don't know if I want to know."
She went and found some trees so that no one would see her change and put the dress on.
"Ok, it's on."

"Kevin has a habit of stealing women's dresses, then trying them on." Smith answered.
Kevin rolled his eyes. "Oh yes, I just love wearing skirts." he said.
"Does it fit?" Smith asked.

"A little loose, but otherwise fine." She said.
She didn't wear dresses. At all.
She was just glad that none of her cousins or friends could see her in this.
She would never live it down. Ever.
