Saffron shrugged. "Just do. Call it instinct. Your regular voice always has a little bit of a musical tone in it, I guess. I probably just picked up on that." Ron said. She had always assumed stuff about people and was usually right. When she was wrong though, it was really bad.

Carmina shrugged. Good enough answer for her. Other than that, Ron seemed nice enough anyway.
"Like I said, I'm ok. Not the best, but not the worst." She said. "What about you? Any special talents the rest of us mere mortals should know?"

"Your probably being modest." Saffron said, grinning. "I can cook and sell, that is basically it. Talents do not come in abundance in this body." Ron spread out her arms a bit.

"I can't cook, my sewing is a blemish upon this earth. I do waitress though. I'm good at that." She said.

Ron smiled. "Where do you usually work? I moonlight from time to time at the bar down the street as a bartender when I need the money." Ron said. "You really suck that bad at sewing?"

"Yes. It is that bad." Carmina said. "I work at the Gilded Lily. They pay well, have a pretty decent uniform, and most of the old guys there DON'T hit on me. I like it. And I can keep my home on their pay."

"Wow, I can't even picture sewing that bad..." Ron said. "Yeah, I've hear they don't have a very rowdy crowd most nights. It is probably cause of the owner. She and her husband are kick-ass. Is it hard living on your own?"

"It's not so much the getting used to one income and all that normal stuff people go through. It's the grieving. It's the wishing things hadn't gone that way." Carmina said. "You know? Like there might have been something you could have done or something you could have said. Even as young as you would have been, there's still gonna be regret."

Saffron nodded. "There is defiantly regret in there." Ron said with a slight frown. "The grief is always the hardest part to get over. If you even need help with money or you need a place to crash, my aunt has an extra bed room that you can stay in if you need it."

Carmina drew herself up. She did not take charity.
"No." She said, coldly. "I'm fine on my own."

"I wasn't offering charity. I never said you wouldn't be doing anything in return." Saffron said, noticing that kind of defense.

Bran was walking by when he saw a cute girl with curly hair talking to another girl with curly hair. Well, he wasn't about to pass up this opportunity. He was a vistor from Rassel. He was in it's army and was apart of this group that was supposed to integrate into the Onoskan society and sabatoge them. And if cute girls came along, well, Bran wasn't about to pass that up.
"What type of charity?" He asked. On closer inspection, one of the girls was Saffron, or Ron as she liked to be called, from the bar he liked to drink at and the flower shop he bought from when he gave a girl a rose or something.

Ron turned to the somewhat familar voice. "Hey, Bran. This is a girl who will introduce her self if she wishes." she said, taking note that Carmina wouldn't be the type to be introduced, she would introduce her self. "It isn't charity. Which was my point. It would be a trade, work for shelter, and knowing my aunt, food." Ron finished.

"I'm Carmina." She said, to the person named Bran. There was something vaguely familar about him, but she shrugged it off.
She turned to Ron.
"Well, in my eyes that is charity. If you cannot do something for yourself, then it isn't worth doing." She said. "I am doing fine on my own."

"Then you shouldn't have to take up on my offer unless you want to come over, for fun." Saffron said. "It was just an offer, I hope you never need to take me up on it. That would go against your independence in your head, though I will always keep up that it is not charity."
Ron looked at Bran, "Do you need something, ma chère?" She asked.
