Saffron frowned. She had never seen marriage like that. "I've always thought that marriage gives you that last link in a bond." Ron said. "I don't think the piece of paper means very much, the promises do though."

"Promises were made to be broken." Bran said. "All the marriages I've ever seen have ended badly, are barely making it, or are based on lies and money."

(ooc. he needs to meet Ama and Dante or Jay and Charlie....)
"Promises are made to be kept." Saffron said. "My parents marriage didn't end badly, neither did my aunts. Well depending on how you define bad. Your only seeing the bad, there are many good marriages."

"I'm only seeing the bad?" Bran asked. "All marriages I've ever seen go badly. My parent's marriage is bad, so is my grandparents, all my aunt and uncle's marriages. And all of their friends."

Saffron frowned. People thought what they were taught. Bran had been taught that marriages were horrid.
"I'm sorry about that, but you can't base all marriages off of that. There are different types of marriages for all different types of people. Your parents jobs tell that you probably grew up in the higher ranks. Peasants marry for love, their marriages tend to work better and create happier couples." Ron told him.

"Not always. All of my mother's friend's marriages, if they got married, didn't work out well. My mother never married, since her parent's marriage was terrible. They were all poor. They married for love and guess what that got them? Nothing but pain." Carmina said.

Saffron frowned deeper. All of the marriages she knew of, and she truely meant it when she said all had turned out well. Most of the couples were still together, if they weren't death was the only reason. With that thought came an idea, "I want to show you two something," Ron said. She took a left turn down an ally.

Carmina turned to Bran, shrugged and they followed Saffron.
"Where are we going Ron?" She asked.

"You'll see." She said. She took another turn down another more than familar ally and her pace slowed. It had been a year since she had been here, would they even remember her anymore? She hoped they would.

"I don't exactly feel like getting lost today, Ron. You better know where we're going or else." Bran said. He put his arm around the shivering Thane.

Saffron nodded and kept going. After a couple more minutes she stopped in front of an old antique shop. The sign out front had faded and the door squeaked a little when you opened it but the store was still running and open. Slowly Ron walked inside.

"Where are we, safrangelb?" Carmina asked, shivering. The place gave off a vibe. She couldn't place it, but it was familar. She had felt it before.

Saffron looked around the antique shop. "Bonjour? Êtes-vous ici? C'est moi,Petite fleur." she called out and waited for an awnser.
She turned to her friends, "This is-- was my second home." Ron said. This was where she had sat through long talks and lessons in french. Where she had fallen down and broke her arm after playing on the chairs and shelves. Where she had become for the most part who she was.

Bran looked around the shop. It was dark and musty. And who was Saffron calling too? Was it someone who was going to come out and murder them? Because he would not put it past her.
"Ok, they're not here. Let's go." He said to Saffron.

Saffron shook her head, "They are here, they wouldn't leave the shop when their sign says open." Saffron said. As she said that a old woman came out.
"Petite Fleur!" she shouted seeing Saffron. "Mon vous avez grandi, ma petite fleur!" The woman wrapped Ron up in her arms.
Saffron smiled shyly. "Merci," she said, giving the woman a hug back. "Je voudrais que vous pour rencontrer mes amis, grand-mère. Carrie et Bran." Ron said after the woman, her grandmother, had let her go. She turned to Bran and Carrie. "Diable et ange, this is my grandmother."
