Amaya had called the emergency meeting at the base after Sonja, Jaysn, and her tried to go into Kyyra. They had been stopped at the gate, being told that they couldn't go in. When Jaysn had angrily inquired why, they were told that Kyyra had been closed off so that the citizens were protected. It did make sense from an Imperial stand point. Most of the Imperials did live in Kyyra. But it still sucked. That meant that Dody and Lucien was trapped inside the city. Dante and Charlie weren't, since they were guards and could come and go.
Dody had come by earlier. She said that she had found a way out, but she had gotten Luke to try it and he couldn't get through. It was also the only way out that wasn't guarded. Luke still didn't know about Sonja, but he was going to have to find out later.
"Ok guys, by now you know what's going on, since there is NO way that I was the only one to try to get into Kyyra today. So we are all aware that we now have to ration food, since we can't get any from Kyyra, which is where we got all our food before. Dody can probably get some out to us, but not alot. So let's make a plan to figure out all the things we need to ration and the things that we can get from other places." Amaya said, starting the meeting.

"We are probably going to have to start a garden and some crops to keep up with the population. We might be able to get some crops from other cities but he might have sent the instructions to every city. Rassel might help but I wouldn't count on them." Jay awnsered. The plantation could probably be used for a good amount of crops they would just need seeds which they could get through Dody or from the Woodland Settlement.

"Yeah, I agree with that. This plantation used to be a cotton plantation, but soil is soil. We'll use it for corn and wheat and other foods. Any other ideas? Any things that we did normally get from Kyyra?" Amaya asked. "And just putting it out there, if anyone has been smoking pot in the commons area, you gotta stop. We're in a war, we need all the soil and money going towards the war. You may resume after this is all over. Only if you share though. My pot now."

Jaysn smiled a bit at Amaya's comment. "Well i agree with Amaya. Well yall should be off drugs anyway.. But we'll have to make a lot more things like flour and different things like that from scratch. But I'm sure even Amaya will like cooking."

"NEVER!" Amaya said, running away from the front of the room. "I SHALL NEVER COOK! YOU CAN'T MAKE ME! NEVER!"
She ran out of the room, screaming never all the way down the hallway. She was running from someone, since she could hear someone chasing her. It was probably Jay, since people weren't paying attention. If anyone else had been chasing her, they would have. But Jay chases her about 3 times a week, depending on how many icky things there were to do that week.

"You'll never catch me! I would rather die than cook!" Amaya screamed behind her, confirming that it was indeed Jaysn chasing her. She slammed into someone and Jaysn slammed into her.
"Gosh Jay, couldn't slow down could you? Ouchies. Me back hurt now." She said, in a mock accusing tone.

"Sorry dude. Jay brought up cooking. You know how it is." She said. He just rolled his eyes and walked away.
"We should get back to the meeting." Amaya said. They went back to the meeting where everyone was laughing at them. They were pretty funny looking, since Jay's hair had gotten messed up and Amaya's probably had too.
"Anyway, back to what I said earlier. Any suggestions?" Amaya asked.

"I can help. Anyone who doesnt know how to ccok i can teach them. Plus i know many recipes that dont involve a lot of neccesarys but it still feeds a lot of people. Im sure wodlanders got gardening covered. If you really need anything from the city i can help with that. Ill be poping in every day. So yes, and i dont bite, well only Amaya but even then only when she deserves it, so dont be afraid to come and ask." Dody smiles. She was worried, 'How many people would actually survive. With the war and now hunger and thirst.' she thought. She sighed thinking about who would live who would die and who would get sick. It saddened her and probably a lot of others as well.

"Ms. Capp had me looking through the accounts last night so that I could help out with the managing money part of this. We've been buying fabric and soap from Kyyra. Those things are already beginning to get scarce there, as we all know, so it would be hard for you, Dody, to go and get us soap, fabric, and the other things. I know how to make soap, and candles too. I'll teach people. Plus I know some people that make their own fabric. What do you guys say?" Sonja said, counting the number of people in the room. She may have been a troublemaker throughout the days of her learning age, but she did know somethings. Statistically speaking, only 1/4 of the people in here would survive this type of war. Those people wouldn't be well off either. So who would those people be? She hoped that no matter what, that she and her baby survived this.

"Thats true. It would probably be getting scarce by now. But your right, you can teach everyone to make soap and candles. Water is going to become a problem. Any body solutions to that? please please do." Dody was so scared she knew most people wouldnt live and that saddened her but this was war. She didnt want to be there watching people she knew and love die, but those loved ones needed her help. She was stuck here, to be a dim light in the dark.....

"Yeah, I agree. Water is going to be a problem, since there is only 3 main rives, and two of them are fed directly into a well/irragation system that go to Kyyra directly. So that cuts us down to one river, which we aren't really used to, since we could always just go to Kyyra to refill our water jugs if we wanted to. But we'll survive. Dody, stuff is going to become even more scarce in Kyyra because it's not getting stuff into the city, so if you need anything, just ask. Jay, can you set up something with that recluse who has the only fabric loom in the area so that we can make winter clothes?" Amaya asked.

"Yeah i can set that up. Give me a couple days. For the water there are a lot of under ground rivers around here we can use. The water is pretty clean and we can boil it if nessary. Oh and for fire wood every tree that you cut down plant a new one to cut down on erosion and so we can keep up the forest." Jay said. She was worried about the fatalities but she was also worried about the forest and woodlanders period it seemed like they weren't going to exist after this war. Just a legend.

Amaya nodded, taking all of Jay's messages to heart. She knew about her friend's worries. She had been having the same worries for years now, ever since the Woodland population went down. And with everything that was going on, it was alot of Woodlander's concerns right now.
"And I know that paper will be rather hard to get to right now, but I know how to make it. So yeah, plant a tree,and when you cut down trees, let me get to the pulp so that I can make paper for messages and such. Kay?" Amaya said. "Also, any other order of business? It's gonna get dark soon, and Dody has to get home."
