(ooc. You left me to my own devices you devil child! This is your payment!!!!!!! <3 )
Charlie stepped up upon the old Cabin that used to be his wife's. The last few months of their engagement were spent mostly here, or in his old apartment, a small smirk crept across his face in memory. He looked down at himself. But those days were long gone. Why he had chose his reverie now, he had no clue, but he felt as though he should visit the cabin.
He now had to use a cane to help him with his limp. The injury he had taken in his last fight was not quite healed. But soon he would be teaching those new young officers a lesson on how a real fighter does it. Though his wife could teach that lesson just as well. He stood at the deck for a few minutes, caught in a reverie of the first time he had brought Jay back here...and their first fight. The first few years were full of fights, some of them horrible, most just small spats.
He heard someone running up the path, foot steps heavy, and he heard the military cadence. He raised a brow, for this soilder was heading toward the cabin, and the cabin door opened. At the same time, a young man appeared from the bend in the pat to the cabin, and May appeared in the door way.
"Daddy?" "May!?" The two figures on the deck exclaimed at once.
The soilder quickened his pace and was on the deck now, but Charlie was fixated on his daughter.
"May? What are you doing here?" he managed through his sputtering. "And that's not your husband."
"Damn straight I'm not," Delvin muttered under his breath. "May you alright. You-- Oh dear!" he said catching her before she fully fainted.
"Uh, I'm guessing you're Mr. Allen, could you help me? She's almost third trimester, and she's not as light as she was before."
Charlie nodded and helped the young man with his daughter putting her on the couch. After the young man seemed satisfied with the state of May, he turned to Charlie, who still looked a bit shocked. "Um, I'm Delvin, May's um... Ex brother in law, now she just calls me her brother." the soilder said, extending his hand.
Charlie looked at him, slowly, and took the offered hand. "Pleasure, I'm May's father. Biologically as far as I know." he said. "Call me Charlie, I don't like the Mr. stuff."
Delvin nodded. "Pleasure to meet you, Charlie." he said. "I guess you would like an explination."
"Oh that would be glorious." Charlie said.
Delvin gave a little smile. "Well, I'll tell you what I can. I kinda came in in the middle of May's nightmare." he said, and started on the story. He could see Charlie getting mad, but Delvin told him, that May didn't want Phyre hurt- not yet. "May doesn't want anyone to know about the kid, she's gonna put it up for adoption. We found a good family."
May decided - though she had been up basically the entire story, but hearing it was already bad enough- she decided to sit up. "Hi, Daddy."
"So you're coming home after the kid is born?" he asked.
She nodded.
"Wanna be caught up before you come home? And you don't want me to tell your mom? Or anyone else for that matter?"
Another nod.
Charlie smiled a little, and went over to hug and kiss his daughter. "Good to see you again, Bright Eyes." he said. May hugged her father back.
Delvin snuck up to the loft, to finish his work out, and let the two catch up. From down below, he heard May yell, "DAD YOU HAVE A CANE?" Delvin smirked, and started punching.
"Well...yes..." Charlie said.
"WHY?" May said. Hormones they make you over react.
"...I might have gotten a good cut on the knee."
"When?"
"Fighting a Rassi, where else?"
May colapsed back on the couch from where she shot up, and put her head in her hands. "Oh dad..."
"What?" Charlie asked confused.
Delvin laughed. Charlie looked up at where it came from. "You gonna tell me?"
Delvin glanced over and shook his head.
Charlie sighed. "No one explains anything to me! My wife won't even tell me where babies come from!"
