Eira was messing around at the river. She knew that she should get back to her Mama Opal and help out with day's patients. But the water was so pretty and the sun was so lovely and the day was so sublime that she found it hard to tear herself away.
She had walked slowly all the way there and now that she was at the river, she would walk slowly all the way back . And of course, dally here if she could. She picked a few wildflowers and found a patch of clover and tried to find a four leaf one. Failure ensued.
She was finally dipping her bucket into the river to fetch water and head back to the village when something shocked her into dropping it.
