May nodded.
"Mina's infection probably set in. Chris I'll need to look at." She had to think harder...maybe the water was actually too thin, that could happen... but was that the right situation? It was worth a shot. If Will was getting better than she should probably give everyone a day of the medicine and see who is suffering from that disease.
Before she had to go give orders and start doing her job she gave Aeron a small smile and started telling the boys what to do.

He gave her a smile back and ran off to go oversee things where he was needed.

May had the boys helping her out in good order quickly. They'd spent another day are so, and she asked Aeron to stay one more day, and since the other unit had yet to return, he was willing: But only for half a day.
Mina and Chris were the ones she was working with the most. Mina had improved and Chris had worsened the first night but now was showing signs of healing. It turned out that there really was one disease running rampant, and as they were gearing to leave, she told the boys to gather all the herbs she could think of too battle. Her mom had told her that over using the same herb can blight the herb's usefullness.... May still didn't quite understand why, but she followed the rule.
Some were now able to eat solid food, mostly ones that hadn't been in very long, but it was a start, and the general mood had improved.

After that half day, they moved out. They made it to the Capp Plantations, safe and sound. Within a week, twenty people had made it home, with many others in contact with their families. But they still had many with no contact yet. People were still sick and Aeron was still waiting for news of the other group, but by this point he knew. They were gone. All those people, his friends. Gone.
He supposed he should just be happy that Rast, Gabe, and Mom weren't among them, because they could so easily have been.
But the mission had worked. It had worked and he was thankful for that.
