May slid in next to Aeron and in his ear said, "You look like hell." She kissed him on the cheek and pretended to take a sip of his beer.
"I wanna go ahead. The plan was to wait for a few days here, and we need help. I can get it."

"Just what every pretty girl wants to hear." He joked. "Not that you look any better."
He thought for a moment.
"I guess I really don't have much of a choice. How soon do you think you can be back?"

"Good thing you're not a pretty girl," she said with a wink.
"If I leave now, tomorrow night," May told him. "I won't be long."

He leaned over and hugged her and kissed her forehead.
"Then go. And be back quickly. You've got my blessing. Take whatever and whomever you need. Just get back quickly." He said.

She hugged him back, flashed him a grin and then decided to peck him on the lips and was gone.
She went to find her help and did quickly.

"Wake up, up," the voice of his sister, May whispered in his dream. Then came the slap. "Del! Up!"
Delvin blinked at her, "May?"
"Heya," she said with a grin.
"What the!? How did you get in!? Half these men aren't even dressed!" Delvin whisper yelled.
"Oh come on, I'm a healer!" she said.
"Oh yeah..." Delvin said then smiled and hugged her. "Now what are you doing here?"
"I have escaped prisoners, I need to steal food and a few men would be nice. How high are you right now?"
Delvin blinked. "Well...actually, a bunch of people died...and uh..."
May grinned. "That was lucky. Who can I steal? Where can I get provisions?"
Delvin sighed. "Follow me." he said. Soon he had given May the food and a smallish group of men for her to lead, and then lead back. The men no longer looked like real soldiers. She had ordered them to put on normal cloths so they would blend in and act as a convoy for moving food. But she told them all to keep their swords. Delvin told the men, do everything she said, and keep their mouths shut. He gave her some of the more... open-minded soldier's because he knew the nature of what she was asking.
May was hugging Delvin good bye when he asked "May how did you know where I was?"
"Lucky guess." she said with a wink, kissed him on the cheek and swiftly made it back to the rendezvous. Along the way she gave the soldiers a quick debrief, all thirty or so of them seemed fine with it. She also found out at least half had good back grounds in medicine from field work. Good. This was help.
When she made it back she looked for Aeron or Elly, leaving the soldiers to watch after the cart. It was only an hour after dark.

Aeron saw her first and ran over, hugging her and lifting her off the ground. He didn't know the success of her mission, but he assumed that she'd be successful. After all, this was May and she never did anything unsuccessfully.
"You ok? Anything that we need Lily to look over? She's no great healer like you, but she's good enough to patch up a wound or something." He said, looking her over.

May laughed a little.
"I'm fine, I promise. I had a very large escort of guys on the way over here after all," she said. "Come! Let me introduce you."

He followed her to the large group of guys around a cart with supplies.
He whistled.
"I dunno how you do it May, but you always pull through."

She grinned.
"So this is ...." she thought for a second, "Mike, Dale, Grant, Landon...George, Vex, Larry....Bob....Dick and Harry! Boys, this is my boss Aeron."

"Hi." Aeron said, acknowledging them all. They looked like a good group and Aeron was definitely glad to have their help. "I dunno how much May told you, but we need help. Mostly medical and probably some counseling, if you're good listeners. All ninety of us are hiding out on the docks in an old storage place that's owned by a sympathizer. If you'll follow me, I can get you guys there and any help you can give is appreciated."

Every single guy nodded and had to stop himself from saluting.
"Lead the way," one of them said.
May walked next to Aeron on the way over. "How is everything?"

"Not good. We've had no deaths, but a few have taken a definite turn for the worse. It's looking like a few of them are going to be gone, no matter what we do." He said. He took May's hand and squeezed it, a normal gesture between the two who been friends since the dawn of time.

She nodded thinking.
"Who's the worse?" she asked. "I wanna start with them. I know that Will got better, as long as he got his medicine properly. Most of them have the same sickness at different stages..." She had started thinking aloud.

"Will did improve. Mina's the worst, but Chris is right next to her on that one." He said. "A few of them have started throwing up everything we give them. We took your advice and we haven't started them on solid food yet, but they're having trouble keep down water."
The two walked to the warehouse holding hands.
