"They meant something to me too! They were a promise! And I don't break my promises!" She swallowed. "I didn't ask you to stay up, I didn't ask you to spend every spare second with me!"
She turned away from him, she refused to let him see her cry. Not when he was the one hurting her.
"Maybe I should just leave."

"You didn't ask me to spend time with you, I did it because I wanted to." He sighed. "I love you Saffron. I know that doesn't forgive everything, but it has to count for something."
He didn't ask her not to go because he knew that if she still wanted to go, she should be able to go and cool off for a day or two. He knew that no matter what, she'd forgive and life would go on as close to normal as they could get. He loved her, so it had to work out that way, right?

Saffron didn't turn around but silently pulled herself together. This is for his own good.
"I-I love you too, but I...I just can't do this right now. Maybe we got married too soon." She opened the door and fled before she changed her mind.

He should have gone after her. But her last comment had just stunned him. Married too soon? Could there be such a thing for them?
He stood there for a second in stunned silence and by the time he ran out to ask her if she truly meant that, because he didn't feel that way at all, she was gone. He skulked back into the house quietly and went to bed, sleep never coming.

(ooc. I just feel like this needs more...)
Almost a month after she'd left, Saffron was waiting on tables in AlMaught, and a customer she knew well sat at their usual table. "Hey there," she said smiling, "What can I get you?"
"You should know my order by now Sophie."
"You've got a point there, Mr. Lexington." she said. "But you're a man of surprises and one day may change your routine on me." She gave the old guy a wink and went back to the tell the kitchen his order.
When she came back with the food, Mr. Lex was holding a flower. "Ya know, Sophie, I once knew this young soilder, and Orphan, wanted to be a doctor. Oh what was his name...."
"Harper?" Saffron whispered.
"Oh! That's it! You really do read minds huh, Soph? You probably alreadly know-"
"I'll get you're syrup for ya."
"Yep you're a mind reader Sophie."
