Smith frowned and looked to Kevin.
Kevin just shrugged.
"Well, you tell a better one!" Smith challenged, either of them really, but Kevin wasn't likely to take that challenge.

"Fine!" She said and she though of one.
"A young couple got married and, after the wedding, they held a reception in the bride’s grandmother’s house. All their family and friends arrived and they laughed, danced and sang, long into the night.
After the wedding reception, the guests decided to play a game of hide and seek. The groom covered his eyes and began counting to a hundred while his new bride and the other guests ran out of the room, looking for somewhere to hide.
Eventually, the groom had found everyone except his beautiful bride. The other guests began calling out her name and searched everywhere for the young woman. They began to grow more and more uneasy when they couldn’t find any trace of her.
Eventually they gave up searching and everybody assumed that the girl had run away and left her husband. As the weeks went by, the husband accepted that his beautiful bride must have had second thoughts about their marriage. He decided to forget about her and go on with his life.
A few years later, a cleaning lady was dusting in the attic when she came across an old trunk. Out of curiosity she opened it. Inside the trunk, she found the rotting corpse of a young woman, still dressed in a bridal gown. There was a wedding ring on one bony finger. It was the missing bride. She must have hidden in the trunk and accidentally locked herself inside. It was impossible to tell whether she had suffocated or starved to death, but her face was frozen in a silent scream."

Kevin shuddered a little
Smith shrugged. "That was not better, worse if anything."

She stuck her tongue out at him.
"Please, how about you imagine opening a chest and finding a dead body? Or better yet, being that dead body." She said. She shuddered a little. In her opinion and of course, just her opinion, she'd rather have someone slit her throat before she suffocated or died of dehydration. Mainly suffocation though, of any kind. Drowning, choking, smothering, you name it. Slit her throat before she goes through it.

She stuck her tongue out at him and threw some leaves at his face.
They were wet and stuck to him like an adhesive to leather and his face was ridiculous. She laughed at Smith. Ahahhaha, Ahahahha.

Smith wiped the leaves off disgusted, and stuck his tongue out at her.
Kevin chuckled.
"You know, those leaves made you look a load better."

"You should always keep yourself covered in leaves. Then you can become the leaf monster and it will be lovely and you will have such good fun." She said. "Plus, you'll scare children. And scaring children is fantastic."

Smith put his hand on his knee, as though deep in thought.
Hm... Leaf monster.
"If I hear about a new monster in my village, I will blame you Ingrid." Kevin said.

"I take no credit for this whatsoever. And I place you responsible for him, so whatever happens is all on you." She said. "Good luck!"

Ingrid still wanted that puppy......
She'd beg she she got home.
"If you're going to be a leaf monster, remember to use old leaves, not new leaves. A brown leaf monster is scarier than a green one, trust me on this." She said.
She lived in trees. At least once a month some kid decided to be a leaf monster.

Smith stroked his goatee as the thougth this over. He would need some dirt on his face too and...
He nodded.
"Perfecto," he muttered to himself.
"Oh dear Pyro."

The sky was beginning to show signs of it being even later than just past dusk.
"I'm going to turn in." Ingrid said, finding a sleeping spot and nodding off.

Kevin and Smith staid up barely late, and actually fell asleep on each other, which was weird when they woke up.
They jumped away from each other and pretended like nothing happened.
