"Yes it is. I've never heard of pink moon before." Rigan told her. "Full moon is the best when you want it light outside."

"April is the pink moon, May is the flower moon, June is the strawberry moon, and so on and so forth." Gertrude said. "That's not it's english name though, that's the algonquian name."

"Why are they named as such?" Rigan asked her studying the moon. It didn't look pink to him.

"I dont' know. It's also called the Egg Moon, the Seed Moon, the Fish Moon, the Sprouting Grass Moon, and the Waking Moon." She said. "I dont know why it's named that, only that it is."

"Well the moon doesn't look like an egg or a fish. A seed i can understand, same with grass. I have no clue behind the Waking Moon." Rigan said. "I wonder who thought of these names anyway."

"People who needed it to correspond with their harvest times. Right now, the season is just awakening, that's why it's the "waking moon." " She said.

"It's the first full moon after the harvest moon, so it's either October or November, depending on the schedule that you follow, moonwise." She said. "The harvest moon falls during September or October."
