"Well now that that's done. Why don't you tell be about yourself? Where do you hail from and such like that?" Sally asked. "Or you don't have to if you don't want to."

She smiled a bit.
"I'm a real witch." She said. "And my father's dead. But that's really all I can tell you."

Sally nodded. "Been a while since I met one of those. I've seen a lot of cheezy fortune tellers but your probably my second witch. Pleased to meet you." Sally said.

"Oh them." Prudence said, waving it off. "Yeah, they're good for a laugh, but not so much for anything else. Though one did tell me once that I would meet someone just like me and I did. But I figure that it's also true for everyone else in teh world."

Sally nodded. "Probably, but sometimes only the lucky really find them." she said. "But they have to be right from time to time or how else would they make a living?"

"Well, I suppose. You give them the answers and you pay them to tell you what you want to hear." Prudence said. "I know a real person who can give prophecies, but even she has said that she's never completely right and that fate can change depending on your choices."

"You know, friends are cheeper and are supposed to do that, well, that is what someone told me once at least." Sally said. "I guess fortune tellers tend to forget that fact. Does the girl work for money, useing her gift?"

"Nope! That's just mean, making people pay for a gift that you got and they didn't." She said. "I don't see why people do that."

Sally shrugged. "That is what musicians and circus folk do don't they? They get paid to perform gifts they are given." Sally said. "It is all about money."

"I may just be saying this since my family has money, but doesn't it not work like that? If you're in the circus, you work for someone and they get most of the money. Then you have to pay for room and board taht they give you, so then you have even less. And then food and other nessaciaties. So in the end you have no money." Prudence said.

Sally smiled and nodded. "That is very true. But that is how it tends to be for many in the lower or lower middle class." Sally said. "Sometimes it depends on your boss. The one we had was a little generous and didn't have us pay as much for board."
