(ooc. Screw it Let's say it's been three months)
May walked into the cabin, Delvin not to far behind her. "Welcome to safe haven." she said.
"It's a little dusty," Delvin noted.
"Oh, shut it! I haven't taken care of it in three months!" she said.
Delvin shook his head, and set his stuff down near the door. "I'll be back for that in a while. Don't do anything stupid, I gotta go sign up to get killed."
"Hey! Be optimistic! You might not die!" she said.
"Damn, I was going for suicide by fighting for your country," he said, with a grin. "Ill be back later, lil' sis." And he was out the door.
May shook her head with a grin on her face. Delvin had been calling her that since he finally got back from following that girl he wouldn't shut up about. Also the day she and Phyre had gotten into their first fight. She shuttered a bit as she grin faded. Did he have to color all of her memories of that place in a bad light?
She closed her eyes and went up to the loft. Her jaw dropped at how bad her weapons looked. She took everything down and started working on making her sweeties better. It took a long time...thankfully it was early morning when they had gotten in, she wasn't expecting him here till late night.
She started working on getting the cabin back in shape- she'd be here for nine months give or take.... Or had mom said it was ten once. Well, she was going to be here for some time. She let the cleaning over come her thoughts for a while.
When she got to the kitchen she noticed there was still beer...she took every bottle and poured them out. The sweeping took the longest of all the chores. Then she only had one left.
She went to the room and replaced the water under the looking glass. Trying to avoid looking... but her glance caught, and she stared.
May's hand went to her scar. It was barely able to be called a scar. Still fresh. She closed her eyes and took a breath. But all she saw was his face, full of drunken rage. Three months of taking care of him when he passed out and came home drunk. When he came home violent. She squeezed her eyes shut.
Damn him. Burn In hell.
She opened her eyes and took a deep breath. Slowly she went up stairs. She just stood up there at first. Then she weakly hit her punching bag. Then she hit it again, and again and again. She hit it until all the rage was gone, every singe punch getting out some of the anger she had pent up. She hit the bag till her knuckles bleed then she kept going.
Finally she landed her last hit, a roundhouse kick. On the follow through she over shot it and landed on her knees. She looked down at her hands, her eyes glazed over. Her lip started trembling and her eyes got wet. She cried silently, until she heard the door to the cabin open. Delvin was early.
Delvin came over too her. "Robin, I told you not to do anything stupid. Crying isn't good for the baby." he said.
May looked up at him. "I doubt that," she said.
"Sadness is not good for kids," he said.
"Yeah, don't want to give her parents a horrid life," she said.
"You bet," Delvin said. "Now, we need to go grocery shopping, you are out of food." He gave her his hand and helped her up.
May smiled a bit and excepted the hand and was lifted up. "Thanks," she said.
Delvin got a better look at her hands and shook his head. But she would take care of it herself.
"Let me make my self less recognizable," she said and went down stairs- washed out her wounds, put her hair up, and got a cloak she found in the closet when she was young, and put up the hood.
Delvin waited till she said ready and they started on their way. "Uh, you know how we can sneak in?" he asked.
May shook her head and looked up at the guards. A couple newbies, thankfully. "We don't need to." They announced themselves under Delvin's real name, and May's fake one.
Delvin carried and May choose (mostly) and paid. When they got back to the cabin Delvin made her go to sleep.
