They walked for awhile until they reached the river that he had told her about. This would lead her home. Due to the fact it was winter, it was frozen and she could cross it without swimming.
"I'm crossing this river regardless, but do you want to keep walking with me or turn back?" She asked. She wasn't asking him to go with her all the way home, just until he wanted to turn back and go home.

"I'll go with you a little longer." he said. The statement was short, in his head he was thinking- i don't want you to go.

She nodded and grabbed his hand. She didn't want to fall on the ice and she liked having the support of another person. They made it across, but she didn't let go of his hand.
It wasn't until they approached the incredibly obvious border that she began to wonder why he hadn't turned back yet. Certainly it would make more sense if he had, since they had long been out of the woods and on a main road, and she could tell that he was one of hte few people who had left hte woods in awhile, from the looks of hte village.
They were at the border and she could hear familar voices. But instead of being afraid, she smiled. It wasn't an adult. It was her friends. She began laughing and broke into a run to meet them. They were standing in a group and had seen her running towards them. They waved her over and she was quickly tackled by some friends
She still hadn't let go of Delvin's hand, not that she had noticed. Of course, when she was tackled to the ground by Riley, she had let go, even if it was subconciously.

Delvin didn't really understand for himself why he hadn't turned back. The scenery was very different from what he was used to. He had never been outside the woods.
He was very surprised when someone knocked down Thena.

"Riley!" She said. "Off or I'm screaming rape!"
The other girl simply said "Surprise." Athena had enough of her wits about her to put on a fake horrified face.
"How could you? In public!?" She asked.

Delvin stood awkwardly to the side. It was obvious that these were Thena's friends.

"Because I wuv you!" The girl now known as Riley said. One of hte guys in the group cleared his throat.
"When we've finished Riley's weird greeting moment." He got a flip off from Riley. "We should head back. I've got applesauce."
This caused Thena to jump up, basically throwing a laughing Riley off of her.
"Why didn't you tell me this?! We must go! For the applesauce!" She said.

Delvin laughed a bit at Thena and her friends. They still hadn't noticed him so maybe he could sneak away, he started back petleing.

The guy who announced the applesauce looked over and saw someone new. Well, when Thena gets as lost as she does, someone had to get her here.
"Hey!" He said. "You want in? I'm Joey by the way. That's Acer, Della, Winnie, and the bouncy thing is Riley."

Delvin cursed a bit, but put on a smile.
"Sure. I'm Delvin." he said. "Good to meet you. Thena has told me a bit about most of you."

Joey nodded.
"Yeah, she can't shut her trap half the time. Not that you can do anything about that. You can't plug her pie hole with food or nuffin, unless it's applesauce." Joey said. "Or unless you're Mike."
And right on cue, a guy with brown hair and blue eyes came running through the forest with a shorter, girl version of him. He saw Athena and stopped short. She ran to him and hugged him. He then kissed her. Boyfriend and girlfriend are reunited.

Delvin watched this and said nothing. Mike- litterally the only name he hadn't heard and the one he was pretty sure belonged to the guy the guy kissing Thena.
"I can get that. She is very talkative." Delvin said.

They pulled apart.
"I missed you." She said.
"I missed you too." He said. "Our ninja faction just isn't the same without my right hand girl. Who else is supposed to tell me when I'm messing up our faction? And you're the prepared one, since you're paranoid of the pirates and zombies."
"Well, someone has to be. Sam, Joey, Riley, Acer, Della, and the rest of you ain't prepared." She said.
~Over near where Joey is~
"Yeah. But that's what we love about her. She can get info out of anyone and then she's not shy about sharing it, no matter the details or content. Our little ninja spy." Joey said, looking over at his "little sister"

"Ninjas are us. I could tell you about them, but unfortunately, I'm under strict orders from Triple S not to divulge information on them." Joey said. "Everyone is. You could go and ask the pirates about us, but everything they say is a lie."
