Essa laughed. "Of course, what could a weakling girl like you have an opinion on? You couldn't hurt a fly much less give a man a good run for his money." Essa said. She was still smiling, and meant it jokingly but there was steel in her voice. The steel wasn't for the 'innocent girl' in front of her, it was for the men that held that view.

She laughed bitterly.
"I was that girl once. I'm not anymore. I wish I was though. She was happy. I am not." Amy said. "I shed her though and I"m not going back."

"We all were a version of that girl once." Essa said. "Some wish they could go back, the ones that don't are the ones that I have the most respect for."

"Hmm..Don't have any respect for me, if you do. Just..lose it all right now, because I shame the very name of human beings and I'm just a disgrace to the world." She said.

Essa shook her head. "I still would have respect for you. Most are a shame to the name of human beings, which in all truth the name is a shame to begin with." Essa said. "No one is a disgrace to the world, you would have to be someone similar to Captian Smith Sr. in order for that."

She laughed a bit.
"Yeah. And the rest of the world agrees with you on that one." She said. "But still. If I can't hold respect for myself, how are others supposed to respect me?"

Essa smirked. "Faith." she said. "You learn to respect people. There is an almost automatic respect you have for most. As people respect you, you learn to respect yourself."

"I can't respect most people, let alone myself." She said. "I can honor their wishes and not criticize them, but I can't respect them. And I can't respect myself because I see myself in them."

Essa nodded. "I understand." she said. "Respect, in it's purest form is hard to earn, even the respect for your self."

Amy nodded.
"Everything is hard to earn because before anyone can do anything for you, you have to do it for yourself. Love, respect, admire, care for, etc." She said. "That is the essence of life and self discovery."

"Most have to earn it. Some don't even have to earn it, those few that can make someone love them instantly. Have you ever met someone like that?" Essa said.

"Love them instantly?" She asked. "Maybe. I've met many people you know. Some I've liked instantly and others not so much. But who knows?"

"Understandable. If there is anyone on the earth that doesn't have one person they dislike or hate, they are a very, very, fake person." Essa said. "I guess love was to strong of a word."
Essa had met someone she had loved instantly, but he was off somewhere in Onoska making other girls fall for his charm and music.

She could tell from her face and from her tone that there was a person that served as her very example. And it was a guy.
"Soo....who is he?" She asked.

Essa smiled. "I'm an open book aren't I?" Essa asked. "Vidor. His name is Vidor."
