Saffron smiled. "It is most defiantly fun. Even with the constant work." she said. "Do you have a job?"

"No. It isn't proper." She said, shaking her head. "I wouldn't mind one if it got me out of my house more often though."

Saffron looked confused. "How is supporting yourself not proper?" she asked. "If you ever want one ask, there are plenty of places that need an extra hand around the town."

"My mother raised me so that the husband she picks out for me will provide for me and I will keep house and raise the family." She said. "My stepfather is of a similar mind and that is how I have been raised."

Saffron nodded trying to get her head around the concept. She had been raied with very little male influnce. Raised to care for he self and not let anyone push her around.
"I think I understand." she said.

Prudence nodded.
"I don't get it, but it's what I was raised to do." She said.

"We are what we were raised to be," Saffron said. "It is a sad truth, but truth none the less."

She nodded. Raised to be an overzealous religion freak, was she. Someone who was supposed to live in the lap of luxury her whole life and marry the man her mother picked out. She didn't want that. But she had no choice and it was a fate she was willing to accept. It was after all, her fate.
"Yes, it is." She said.

Saffron nodded somley.
"Mildred, i just thought of something. Tabbie thinks magic is bad, devil worship. I think that is something that will need to be cleared from her head before she starts training." Ron said.

"That is a problem." Mildred said, biting her lip. "But it's a belief and I have always had problems changing people's minds about such things. And I don't even know where to begin. Showing her magic is good is probably the best way, but I just don't have the time. I'm training a few other young witches until they are old enough to find someone to apprentice to."

Saffron pouted in thought. "Is there really another way to show her?" she asked. "I guess we will just have to wait. But being ashamed of your gift, or curse, is never a good thing for any kind of training. I had to get over that before my gift worked correctily again."

"Try having things randomly break around you." She said, dryily. She was begining to relax around them, but she still didn't trust them. "Try having people and animals die because you were in the area."

Saffron just looked at Mildred, helpless. She had never heard that part of magic.

Mildred pursed her lips.
"It's common. But only among those who aren't trained early on. As the magic starts building up from unuse, it can have distardly side effects. That's why it is suggested that children start training about a year after the first sign of magic." She said.

Saffron nodded, relived.
"See, magic isn't bad. It is erratic." she said.
