Mildred smiled.
"Well, yes, techincally. But I retired from witchcraft long ago to raise my son. I'm just now getting back into the game." She said. "So, you must be a witch, Prudence."
She looked the girl over. She was sensing powers from her. She smiled.
"I can sense it on you. A witch knows another." She said. "Saffron's powers are the product of a drop of witch blood in her, or that's what I believe anyway. But she refuses to admit this fact."

"She is good at what she does though. Amint. Completely amint." Ron said. "But other than me, Mildred is good at picking up on people's powers."

Mildred smiled humbly.
"I do what I was given by God." She said. "We all do. Saffron, how are your prophecies coming along? Can you do an example for me?"
The idea for the powers that Saffron had was that she could do prophecies whenever she wanted to. That meant she had absolute control and of course, control is ideal.

Saffron smiled. "Or what ever is out there," she said. "They are okay, I haven't done anything since Carrie and Bran."
She pulled the flower out of her hair, still a white carnation, and started spinning it. "Reunion with old family, brings upon a new scar, healed. Reunion comes along for another opening scars, and causing wounds. Through the strife arises a single new rose."
Saffron stoped the flower and came back to. "I'm not the rose." was her only comment.

Prudence raised her eyebrow.
"Curious." She said. She was interpretting it as there would be two reunions of torn apart families and a rose or a person in this case would rise up. She was able to interpret these because her mother had taught her to interpret holy prophecies done by prophets. Her mother wouldn't approve of this. Good. She wanted to rebel and do things for her for once.

Saffron frowned. "It probably won't come to fruitation. Most of them so far haven't." she said. "Granted I might be interpreting them wrong."
Saffron had serious doubt in the truth of her proficies. But not in them, she has always thought there is another world where they came true.

"You're doing fine Saffron. Just keep practicing them and eventually they will become more and more accurate, despite your interpretation of them. You've got a great gift, don't waste it." Mildred said.
Saffron had improved greatly, which impressed her. She knew that every once in awhile a prophecy might just come upon Saffron and she would just end up making one without meaning too. But that was a burden she would have to live with.

Saffron nodded. "I know, but I'm still worried." she said. "Burden's we bare. Is Tabbie just a witch like you or do you think she has a specialty?" Saffron wanted to change the subject, her gift was still a sore spot with her.

"I haven't seen what she can do. Even if she is just a witch, many witches have a special type of magic they can do. I specilize in minor healing and housemagic spells, like how to clean the dishes using your powers. My mother leaned towards defense spells." She said. "So even if she doesn't have a special power, she'll most likely have the thing that she leans towards inbedded in her powers already."
She could tell that the girl was upset or atleast bitter about her gift. But it was a good thing. It could help people or at the very least, give people insight to what their current actions may cause.

Saffron nodded. "You can clean a house quicker than any one I have ever met." Ron said. "I think she would be good at cloaking and dectecting spells."
Saffron had learned a lot about witchcraft since she had met Mildred, she never actually learned the spells but she understood the workings a little more.

Mildred assesed her. She was shy, timid even, but with alot of power radiating off of her. That was common of a child of seven or so generations of magic in her.
"I think she'll be good at destruction spells." She said. "Things that conjure fire and such. But with destruction also comes an ability at sealing spells, which seal in monsters and demons into something and only your or one of your descendants can open it."
She had that gift. Most witches did actually, but she was finding that even small amounts of power were hard to come by. The harder it is to find powers, the harder it was to find those who were talented at certain things.

Saffron nodded, one of those times when she was completely off by the sounds of it. "Well, this will be interesting," She said. Ron turned and looked sternly at Tabbie. "No practicing in my flower shop then. I don't need any fires, my aunt would kill me."

She nodded.
"Ok. If I ever go into your flower shop for some unknown reason, I promise I will not use my powers." She said. "Where is your shop anyway?"

Saffron smiled. "Good," she said. "Down the street from the White Castle, look for a bunch of flowers, or me, and you'll see it."

Prudence nodded. She didn't have a job. Her mother said it wasn't proper. Her stepfather was from a wealthy family and was actually a barrister. Her mother had been raised to be a proper, wealthy lady and that is what she did.
"It sounds lovely." She said.
