Saffron looked at Bran confused, "What? I prophesied something? Out loud? Oops." Saffron said. She usually just assumed or said something that wound up happening usually it wasn't prophesy.
"Sure why not? You already know my secret." Saffron said. She looked at the flower again and swayed a bit. "Heart broken in life after saved from death, The strong survive and poisoned die. Casualty of war, and casualty of fate."

"Hmm...I wonder what it could mean." Carmina said, pondering over it. Heartbroken in life after saved from death. Either someone was going to try to kill her and then her heart is going to break, or she's not reading into it enough.

"Nothing." Bran said. "It's just the made up ryhmes of our own loony Saffron. They have no meaning or power whatsoever."
But just because he said something did not mean that he believed in what he was saying. Maybe she was right. And if she was, how he was looking at it, he might just end up being the death of Thane.

Saffron shook her self and twirled the flower. She didn't really like that part of the curse, or it felt like a curse to her. Her parents wouldn't have died if she had never given her first one. She started to block them after that, but she always kept the flower though.
She smiled. "I'm not loony! I'm just... odd, that's how Popi put it." Ron said. "You don't believe in things you don't see, diable?"

"No. If you can't see it, why believe it? It's obviously not there and not doing anything for you." Bran said. "Besides, it's only real if you believe it. And I don't believe it, ergo, it ain't real."

"So anything you don't see isn't real? So because you don't see the people being attacked means it isn't real? Because you can't see a flower grow across the meadow means it isn't growing? Because you can't see a fish laying it's eggs means the eggs aren't real?" Saffron asked. "That is a very self involved way to view the world, diable."

"And I believe it." Bran said. "If I'm not there to witness it or if I don't see a picture saying how it's done, it's probably not real. Like God. No way he's real. He ain't doing anything for anyone. And if he is, it's for himself."

Ron sighed. "You don't believe in anything? Except what you see? No magic? No higher power? Nothing?" Ron asked. She wasn't accusing; she was just curious.

"Nothing. I only believe in myself." Bran said. "And my captain."

Ron half smiled shaking her head. "Solider..." She said quitely, "They are all the same." She put the flower back in her hair.

"Yeah! You got a problem with the army?" Bran asked, angrily. "We're dedicated and protect you! So what's your problem?"

Ron shrunk back a bit, then got angry.
She added steel to her voice as she said, "I have no problem with the army. I have no problem with what they do. If I was strong enough I would be joining them. The army does it job, and does it well. I wish I could be out there helping them and killing Rassilian's my self." Ron was looking Bran straight in the eye by the time she finished with her back straight and voice low. "The army is killing those who killed my parents, I have no problem with the army."

Brandt spoke with his own steely voice.
"Good." He said. Though inside he was screaming. These people were against him. Why was he here? Oh yeah, orders. Great. Just fucking great. He missed Rassel. It was warmer there. Damn Onoska and it's chilly climate.
(rassel isn't tropical, just warmer. like how NC is "warmer" than the northern states but nothing compared to florida.)

Ron looked at him for a couple more seconds. "I dislike the Rassalian's worse than you, diable." Ron said. She took a couple steps back. "On to a new subject. There was a girl and guy, the one I pulled out of the crowd the day we met, at the White Castle that wants us to get together with them sometime. Gabe and Lily, that was their names." Ron said taking on her usual tone. "I was right, I didn't scar."

"I highly doubt you didn't scar him for life." Carmina said, rolling her eyes. She hated Rasselians. They destroyed lives and took what they had for granted. It wasn't Rassel that was being ravaged by war, it was Onoska.
"But I'm in." Carmina said. Bran rolled his eyes and nodded.
