Kyoko smiled and pressed her forehead against Tom's head. It was their first day living together as a technically married couple, and she was happy as ever. She knew that Maisha wanted to be there and give her away, but she had other business. It involved Dominique, who had disappeared years ago.
Maisha was like a mother to her and to all the people in the Marks. Tom was also one of them.
She heard a knock at the door and opened it up to find Dominque standing there. It had been years and in those years Kyoko had grown to dislike her. They had been best friends, in fact she was her only friend until a few years ago. Then she had left and the kids that had made fun of them had worsened their teasings and torturings. It was a hellish time for awhile.
"I suppose you haven't come to congratulate me and Tom on our marriage?" She said, coldly.

"It's not the reason I came but Congrats." Dody had been really nerves coming here, but this made it worse. Even though she was expecting even worse treatment. "I don't expect you to forgive me. I still don't forgive myself and it was harder on you. Kyoko even though I know you'll never forgive me I wanted to stop by and say I am really really sorry. I should'nt have left and even if I wanted to leave I should have told you first. I don't expect you to forgive me and I think I'm kinda hoping you won't. Even so I wanted to stop by and say sorry." Kyoko was trained well, Dody new because of that training she would'nt be aloud to forgive her. She closed her eyes, turned around, opened her eyes, and started to walk away. "Wait, I forgot to give you something." Dody turned around and took of the locket she always wore and gave it to Kyoko. "I meant to give you this before I left all those years ago, sorry." Tom stood silently behind. He knew that if Dominique just walked away now, it would hurt Koi more than if she had just never come back. And he didn't want that. He didn't like Dominique, and never would, but he didn't want Koi upset.
"Dominique, wait." He said. She turned back around. "I know that Koi doesn't want to see you right now. But I also know that if you don't atleast stay and talk with her for awhile, she's going to be hurt even more. So please, come in and stay for a few hours with us. You have alot of catching up to do."

Dody turned around. She could see all the hate in Tom's eyes, but she new he was right.
"Thank you."
She went inside. There was gigantic tension she hoped would die down as they started talking.
"So how have you been? What have you been up to?"
She felt so guilty seeing her friend again. It porbably hurt Kyoko so much seeing her again.

"I've been fine. I want you to tell me what you've been up to first though. Where have you been? How have you been getting along?" Kyoko said. "Dommi, why?"
Tom just went to the kitchen and stood there watching them. She looked up and smiled at him. He smiled back at her, but then looked at Dominique,and his eyes filled with hate.

"I've been close by, I owne a little tea shop in a city close by. I've met some new friends so i've been ok. Even though only one knows something about me. I've sorta tried to shut myself away from society." Dody sighed. "I'm really sorry i didnt tell you i was leaving. I left because of all the pain traning inflicted to the world. We went on training missions to kill for practice. It was terrible. Still you were my best and only friend in this desolate world. I should have told you. I'm really really sorry."
Dody paused and sighed. She took out some pain killing herbs from her pocket and took some. Her stomache from where she had been stabbed had been hurting alot all week, and she didnt know why.
"So um what about you, what have you been up to?"

"I was alone for a long time. Those kids, the ones who tortured us, made my life hell. I still don't have alot of friends. Maisha, she tried to take my mind off of it all. She trained me harder and my training was more difficult. But it worked. You know that only 3 kids can complete the training and pass on. The others have to die. But I'll get to that in a second. So I met Tom when I was 16. We fell in love, obviously. Those same kids that tortured me started to torture him. But he had a different way of dealing with it. When Maisha came up to me, Tom, and Wendy, she told us to kill the others in any way we saw fit. Their deaths...were epic. She also said that orginally you were going to be in this instead of Wendy." Kyoko said, closing her eyes. "Tom and I married after that. Just yesterday actually. It was the first time that we could. Maisha wanted to be there, but she went away to do something about a week ago."

Dody weekly smiles "yes, she definetly had buisness to attend to. Buisness that probably could've waited till after your wedding." Dody rubs her stomache. "Though I am sorry she missed it, and i'm also sorry I ran away seven years ago and missed it." By now Dody had stopped smiling altogther, now she just looked down right sad and pitiful. She coughed and possibly some blood with it, but she wiped it on her pants before she could tell.

"If you need something for that cough, just say so." Tom said, nonchalantly. "I don't want blood all over the new furniture."
Tom, as well as Koi had been trained to not only spot the tiniest amounts of blood, but also to smell the tiniest amounts of blood. It was a part of the advanced training that he and her had to go through. Koi probably didn't want to say anything, for the benefit of her friend.
"Also, that wound needs new dressings. It'll get infected if you don't replace them. We probably have some stuff for it here, if you want some." Tom said. He went into the kitchen to look for his favorite food, rasberries. He saw that they were out, and not only did he want some, he also knew that Koi wanted to make some rasberry muffins later.
"We're out of rasberries. I'll go over to Emilie and Alan's place to see if they have any. I'll be back in a second." Tom said.

"um...thanks? but uh... I'm a medic so I have plenty of supplys at home." She smiles a small smile at Tom not caring if he hates it. "As for the blood don't worry I promise I wont get any on your furniture." She turns to Kyoko "I can go if you want. I can tell your busy. I don't want to get in your or your husband's way."

"Stay." She said. "I'll need some help baking anyway. Besides, as much as I love Tom, he can be a bit of a bore when I ask him to help me cook. So I'll want the company."

Dody smiles "ok if you want." She stands up and salutes to Kyoko, just like she did back when they were kids. It was sorta a joke, at the "school" you always saluted to the elders and well Kyoko was waking up Dody one day and she sorta half woke up and saluted saying yes maam. Later when Kyoko told Dody what she did Dody laughed and saluted again saying 'yes Kyoko'. After that every time Kyoko said a command or asked something of Dody, she would always salute, laugh, and do it. When she did it this time she wasnt sure what reaction shed get but meh who knows maybe Kyoko would smile, or maybe she wouldnt. Didnt really matter, well actually it kinda did but what ever that wasnt the point.

Kyoko gave her a small, sad smile. It reminded her too much of that part of her. The part of her that wanted to forgive Dody and just give her a hug. But that part had to be locked away. The part that is shown now is the one that will give her a second chance but not one that will ever forgive her. The part that will not show mercy.
"Let's get to work. Tom should be back by the time we need the rasberries." Kyoko said.
