Jay walked through the old path that was starting to become overgrown to her old cabin. She walked in the cabin was in a dissarray not from the raids the Imperials had done before the war had ended but from lack of use. She hadn't come back and kept it up for over three months now. Jay walked into the kitchen that she had emptied out during one of the times that the Crescent base had really needed food.
Jay just looked around. She knew that after this visit she would probably never come back. The Woodlanders that hadn't chosen a side during the last few months of the war had retreated into the woods and didn't want any outsiders to come. They had already become a little bit of a legend to the people that were young and had never seen a Woodlander before. Jay helped them set up a new base hidden very well and she was going to be their only contact to the outside world till she passed it on to someone well trusted or her daughter or son. The woodlands would now be ruins and legends. Her people were gone.
Moonstone came in and laid her head on Jay's lap where she sat down. "Hey, Moonstone. Sorry I haven't been around very often. There was so much sickness in the Crescent base and not very many healers. I would have brought you with me but you would have lost your pups. Netheir of us would have wanted that." Jay said. She had found out that Moonstone was pregnate a month after she had found out that Sonja was. "Did I tell you we lost Sonja?" Moonstone let out a little growl that Jay knew to mean no. "Yeah we lost her after she gave birth. Amaya and I had to name the baby. Her name is Lilith. She seems so sweet. Auntie is taking care of her for now till we can find Luke but we haven't been able to yet." Jay sighed. "Its been a long, hard, sad few months. Even thought there has been some good things most of it is soo sad that no one is going to remember the good things in a few years. It has made all of us that much tougher but there is always that sadness. We lost so many people." Jay paused for a couple minutes. She was petting Moonstone's head and tears had started coming down her face. "Were becoming old aren't we? It feels like yesterday that me and Amaya came across you when you were injured. I remember the first time you met Damion you growled at him and wouldn't go near him. I'm going to have to trust your instincts more though. You like Charlie though don't you?" Moonstone growled yes. "Good. He asked me to marry him you know? Well that isn't exactly true. He was trying to ask me before the final battle but he was taking to long so I kinda just told him yes." Moonstone snorted. "Yeah typical me huh?" Jay said smiling.
