Abigail stood at the edge of the encampment. She had only spent about a year there and it was a sad one. Her best friend had died. And it was she who had made the tragic error of telling Luke that little Lily was gone. Then again, what she said could have meant anything. Luke had gone to her, to ask her about Sonja, since she was her friend. She had told him about her death, and when he asked about the child, what she had said was 'the child is no longer with us.' This was the truth, Margarite had been busy for a few days prior to this and she thought that he knew that the child was alive and that she had been there for a few days. How was she to know that he was unaware of this?
She had also lost her grandmother and all of her aunts. But Damion was there for her. And, she was reluctant to admit this, but she knew it was true, that she had fallen in love with him.
And here she was, full circle, standing at the edge of her old home, waiting for Damion. She had recieved word that he was leaving today and she was going to bring him to the new encampment. It was hidden in the woods, at a place where only the woodlands, with their incredible bond with nature, could find.
Here he was, in the distance, approaching her.
"Hey Damion." She said, softly.

Damion was a little tired after the run, he had gotten a wound during the last few battles that would make it hard for him to run or fight for a while. He could see Abby come into view as he ran past the trees. "Hey, Abigail," Damion said when he caught up to her.

"I am here to escort you to your new home. " Abigail said "You got everything? It's a long journey. If we leave now, we could get to the edge of the woods by nightfall. Then we can either camp there, which I suggest and get to the site by afternoon or keep going and get there, if we make it alive, by morning."

"And on that happy note...." Damion said. "Yeah I have everything I need." He was wondering why Abby sounded so formal though. "Lets get going."

"Kay." They walked in an ackward silence for awhile. It wasn't just ackward, it was super-duper mega-ackward. It was one of the ackward silences that if you broke it, the person would respond and then it would return at an even more ackward rate.
And since Abigail was concentrating so much on the ackwardness of this particular silence, she didn't notice the fact that there was a tree root ahead of her. Nor did she notice that she had tripped over it, until she hit the ground with an even more ackward then the silence, thud.
And it wasn't until she looked up did she see that Damion had also tripped on it. And landed on top of her.

This was awkward. Very awkward. Damion so did not think this was going to happen. This shit only happened in books. "Uh, hi." was literally all he could think of or get out of his mouth.

"Uh...hello?" Abigail said. This looked very wrong. Like, really really wrong. Why did this happen to her? Especially when she knew that there was no way he loved her back, so while this might have been ok if she knew that he did, since she knew that he didn't, it was kinda ackward. It added on to the ackwardness of it all.

Right then a nice cat decided to sit on Damion. This forced him even lower on Abby. Now you think 'Okay this can't get any more awkward' but it does. The sudden jolt down wards made Damion's lips hit Abby's. When he managed to get off her lips he said, "Uh, sorry about that. It was the cat i swear."

Abigail, not thinking clearly, kissed him back.

Okay, Damion had figured that Abby could not surprise him. She was usually quite nice and didn't do much that was out of her shell. This was surprising from her. He was most definetly incoherent in thought and words. Random mumblings were coming from his mouth that some how turned into, "I love you."

"I love you to." She said, quietly. "Do you want to camp here tonight? I mean, once the cat gets off your back."

Damion had to smile and was kinda stuck on the 'I love you part.' but said, "Uh yeah." He didn't mind how the set up was now that it wasn't so awkward but the cat on his back wasn't so good. Then he thought of something Jay said once. "Hold on a sec i think i know how to get the cat off my back." Damion started talking to the cat in a comforting voice, he was trying to convince it to get off his back. It took a couple minutes of convicing but the cat got off.

Abigail finally got off the ground.
"What do we do now?" She asked. "Now that we've completed the goal of getting the cat off of your back."

"I guess we start setting up camp, unless we should try to go a couple miles more. The sun looks like it is about to set though." Damion said.

"Yeah. This is where the group camped last time when we did the mass move. There's a small meadow nearby with some good game, and wild winterberries. I think our small shelter we set up a few weeks ago is still there. It was last night anyway, when I was traveling to meet you." Abigail said.
