Dante sat in his office with his head in his hands. He looked up as Charles walked in. It had been only an hour since the fight and them getting back, but it felt like an eternity to him. He felt so terrible. Why did things have to go so bad?
"Hey." He said, miserably.

"Hey," Charles replied slumping down in one of the chairs across the desk from Dante. Charles had been replaying what Jay had said over and over in his head, for some reason it felt like she had said it straight to him. But at the same time he was still mad that Jaysn and Amaya knew and didn't tell them the truth. He was so confused.
"You figured out what we should do yet?" Charles asked. Charles was out of ideas.

"I don't know. I've never felt this conflicted before. It used to be that I could do my job and no feelings got in it's way. But not this time. I've spent time with her. I've grown to like her and possibly even.......love her." Dante said. "I don't know if I can do anything."

Charlie looked at his friend. Dante said he might love Amaya..... "Maybe we should just leave them alone. That way we don't have to arrest Amaya and we won't get in trouble." Charles said this but he didn't think Dante could stay away from Amaya any more that Charles himself could stay away from Jaysn. "Maybe we shouldn't do anything."

Dante looked up.
"Yeah, you're probably right. Again...." Dante said, the last part slightly rueful. "I guess that we should just leave them alone and try to get on with our lives. Though knowing you, I'll guess I'll have to see Amaya at yours and Jaysn's wedding." He teased Charlie alittle. If Charlie and Jaysn got back together, it wouldn't be illegal, and he would be cool with it.

Charlie smiled a bit at his friends teasing. "I doubt that would happen i think Jaysn is just as mad as me as she is at you...." Jaysn and Amaya seemed so close that if Amaya left Jaysn might too. "I don't think Jaysn wants to see me but I'll probably try anyway."

"I want you to try dude! If she makes you happy, just try to win her back! Besides, Amaya thinks your cool, so you're good there. They would probably forgive you. It's me they're mad at. Not you." Dante said. He was still confused and upset, but he wanted his friend to be happy atleast. Then one of them could be happy.

Charles sighed, Dante was trying. Charles was going to try he knew that before he even came back into the room. "Yeah I'll try but i should probably give her time to cool off first. Are you going to be okay Dante?"

"I'm not sure. Probably, I mean I only knew her for a few weeks. How much damage could she have done to me? I'll try to find another girl, and maybe she'll be Imperial this time." He said, with a sad attempt at a joke.
It was hard to deny the truth. He loved her, and while he had only known her a short time, she had become such a permanent part of his life that he may not even be able to live without her at this point.

Charles could see that Dante wasn't going to be moving on any time soon despite what ever he said. Amaya had become a big part of his life in a couple of weeks. "Dante, you love her don't you?"

"I....I think so. I've never been in love before, but I think that I love her. But if I wanted to forget everthing about her and just focus on that, how could I tell her? I'm not even sure. What if I decide to tell her, and in the rare instance she forgives me and lets me back into her life, and I figure out that I don't love her after all? But I really do think that I'm in love with her." Dante said.

"Dante, you still feel bad even though she is someone who normally you would hate. You were hurt that she lied to you. Dante, if you can't get her out of you head then you love her." Charles said, he had fallen for someone before but they didn't love him back, he knew how it felt to fall in love.

Charles looked at his friend and smiled. It was a little cleshe but a good choice any way. "Yeah, Dante, that is really all you can do" But Dante was also right on another thing. Dante was screwed.
