Daxton and Dei were sitting down in their small sitting room, waiting for the maid to bring in tea as they talked with their parents. Both sides had something very important to discuss, and Dei and Daxton were waiting to see what their parents had to say, having wanted to save their news for a surprise.
Daxton looked at his parents when the tea finally came and everyone was settled. "So, what is your news?"

Dei was quietly sipping her tea across from her husband. They had received the news from the village physician who had been called up to look at Dei a few days ago. As soon as they had the joyous news, they sent for his parents to tell them.
After, this was shareable news. And it turned out that his parents had something to say to them as well, which worked out well.

"My children," He said, addressing his son and daughter-in-law. "I received some distressing news from a trusted source."
Cough, a maid who stocks the fireplaces in the early morning. Double cough.
"Is it true that after more than three months of marriage, you still have not yet consumated the union?''

Ramon nodded.
"Children, you need to have consumated. It's understandable that you don't know eachother, but that doesn't give you room. You shall need an heir."
Glory, The Queen, patted her daughter's hand. "If you haven't You can just tell us, you know. We won't jump at you."
Daxton held back a bit of a smile and looked at Dei.
"Darling, would you like to tell them?" he asked.
"Tell us what exactly?" Glory asked.

Deidra smiled at Dax.
"I suppose I should." She said.
She looked around at the room full of people. Err, well, their parents and them.
"It's still early yet, but I'm pregnant." She said.
"You owe me twenty, Ramon." Albion said, as his first reaction.

Ramon sighed and pulled out the twenty from his pocket.
"I'll get you next time, you old geezer," he said, lovingly.
Glory ran up to hug her daughter. "This is wonderful! What all did the doctor say.?"
"Dad, You had faith in me?" Dax asked his father. "How could you>?"

"Of course I didn't have faith in you. But this little angel." He said, motioning to Dei, "Well, I had plenty of faith in her."
"He says that I'm a few weeks along and that I'm due in the winter." Dei said. "Of course, it's still early. He said that any number of things could happen, but in a few weeks, most of that danger will have passed."

Dax nodded.
"Good call, Dad. I'm glad to see you still have your head on straight." he said.
Glory nodded, and placed a hand on her daughter's stomach. "I'm going to be a Grandmother!"

"But you know I'm going to be expecting more of you now. You're about to have my first grandchild and be a father. You better act like it." The King said, threateningly.
Dei was busy with her mother and mother in law's cooings.

Daxton nodded.
"Yes sir. I"ll be sure to live up to high standards and teah my little boy how to sew and my little girl how to sword fight.... Wait...that is how it goes right? I"m a girl, and Dei's the boy?" he asked.

"Yes dear." Dei said. "You're going to teach the girls how to sew and dance and play instruments prettily and I teach the boys how to sword fight, ride horses, and be awesome."
"Good girl." Albion said. "Someone has to. Dax always did love to sew as well."

Kind Ramon laughed.
"Dei, maybe you should leave the horses to Dax...or me..." he said. "I'm pretty sure the new baby doesn't need a permanently bruised bum."
Dax raised a brow.
Ramon informed him of how Dei's first three years, she couldn't stay on a horse for three seconds.

"You made me start riding at three! Of course I couldn't stay on! By six, I was a great rider!" Dei protested. "And you weren't a great teacher! I believe you told me that I stop falling or I wouldn't be allowed to name my pony Alfalfa!"

"Well! It worked did it not?" Ramon asked. "You are a great rider now like you said!"
"You still didn't let her name her horse Alfafla," Glory said.
"She wanted to name it Asparagus at that point!"

Dei only smiled.
"Brussel Sprout was a good horse." She said.
