It was daytime, noon, in the downtown. It was a seedy part of it, even at this light hour, but it was nonetheless rather dangerous. Of course, the danger excited her. It thrilled her. It was almost summer in AlMaught, and it was quite warm. Despite this, she had on a heavy black dress and a heavy cloak. Her one saving grace was her hair, which she had put up in an elaborate style. She was attracting some odd glares from the housewives who had left their homes and hearths to come and gab over the local gossip. Like she could care. If she did, she wouldnt' have come all the way out here to practice the most illicit craft of them all. Necromancy. In Onoska, according to the "Order of Restriction of Magical Abilities", Code 54, paragraph 9, sentence 8: To raise the dead, in spirit, bodily, or any other means is hereby illegal and punishable by death by fire or life in the darkest prison possible. So she was a criminal now, all because she wanted to learn of the dark side of the world, death. Destruction. It called to her. She quickened her pace. Someone caught her arm. Vidor saw the girl- in black magic robes. On a mission. Ready for a ritual.
He ran and caught her arm.
"What are you going to do? Raise the fricken dead? There is a reason that is forbidden!" he said harshly but quite as for the gossips not to hear him.

"I have no clue what you're talking about." She said, harshly, withdrawing her arm. "I know the law and I know my rights. And I know that I don't have to answer to you."

Vidor rolled his eyes.
"Your death day party." he said.

She smirked.
"Why thank you." She said, poisoningly sweet. "And if you'll excuse me..."

Vidor rolled his eyes.
"You know it isn't like the usual witch craft, correct? It isn't banned because of the act. It is banned because of the danger, especially to young, ignorant, witches." he said, with a slight snarl. Young idiot.

"I'm not a fucking necromancer." She said, lying, obviously. "And I'm not a witch."

"What's the rhyme?" Vidor said thoughtfully. "Oh yes! Liar, Liar, Pants in flames. Your really shouldn't lie again."

She narrowed her eyes.
"I'm not lying." She said, her voice low and dangerous. "If you would please cease your harrassment of me, I must be going."

"What ever you say necromancer. Hope you have fun dancing with spirits. You won't be the only tangible person there for very long." he said.
He turned.
"Oh. Check your hair if you ever need help." and he walked.

Naomi put a hand to her hair. In it was a card. Jackass. She continued on her way. She knew what she was doing. She hoped.
