She put her hand on his shoulder.
"I'll be fine. I've lost my job tons of times before. I hardly ever have the same job twice." She said, trying to force a smile.

"Ok. But in the mean time you'll work at my mom's. Just until you get re-hired. I mean it. You will." James pretends to glare at Amy and tries to smile. He liked being around Amy it was comfortable. "You start tomorrow at noon."

"I'll tell her later tonight. Besides if you ever met my mother you would know she would love the idea. Trust me it's fine." James looks around and spots a little store at the corner. "Ice cream? My treat."

They went inside and to the person at the counter and Amy he said. "Chocolate, please. What do you want Amy?"

"Caring. Loving. Really sweet. A people person. Almost the exact opposite of my dad. She'll also try and do all the work for you and still pay you. To tell you the truth, with how she is most people would think she's gullible. She's not." James smiles.
