Gertrude nodded. She didn't know how this girl, who seemed vibrant and outgoing, could possibly understand the musings of a plain, uneducated girl, but obviously she was trying.

May again smiled. "I wasn't always like this you know?" she stated. "There was a point where I basically lost my whole personality and had to start completely over. Every one goes through that. There is not such thing as simple, or plain in all truth. Everyone has a history, of some sort."
