Aeron had also gotten up to go, but Lily and Elly made no moves.
"Actually Gabe, tell Mom something came up at the base and that I'll be home later. I'm going to hang here for alittle while longer." Rastus said.

"Leave a few markers, up until the fallen log. I can get out of the forest from there. After that Rastus can do what he wants." Elly said.

"Okay! Bye guys! Be carefully Elly, Rast!" May said running a head of the rest. Rast and Elly always liked spending time alone.

"Rastus! You got the cards?" Elly asked. He brought out a deck of cards. "Yay! Blackjack time!"
And they started playing blackjack.

After three games, and eventually switching to poker, Rastus was on a winning streak. It was too bad they never bet money.
"So why don't we let the others in on this again? We could actually win something for once." He asked.

"Because then someone might be better than the two of us, and we might lose. And we both hate losing." Elly said, dealing the cards. "Besides, you know May would lecture us on the "evils" of gambling."

Rastus rolled his eyes.
"Yes, because gambling is the worst thing that could possibly happen to us. Not being attacked by Rassi soliders. Not getting ill and dying. Not losing a parent. Gambling. That is the worst evil of them all." Rastus said, sarcastically.

"That and Aeron." Elly said, jokingly, dealing out another hand. She looked at the sky.
"Arg. If we wanna get back before it's completely dark, we need to go now." She got up and brushed off her pants. "Carry me?"

"Fine, Elly love." He said. She jumped on him, piggy back style and he carried her to the edge of the forest. He let her down and she skipped back to her house. He walked home.
