"So many memories." Amaya said, running her hand along the wall. "I still have things here that you dont' know about."
Amaya thought of their memories. When they were five and the previous guide still lived there and was training Jay, this was their jungle gym. When they were twelve, this was their 'clubhouse', when they were fifteen and Jay took over, this was their secret haven. And when they were eighteen, this became a place of sadness. Jay's sadness.
Jay had gotten pregnant. It was going to happen, of course. Jay had said that she didn't want to keep it, that it would only bring her and the baby sorrow. So she found the right herbs that would kill the tiny thing.
Amaya knew that what she had done was right for the circumstances, but was it fair? That wasn't her decision to make. It was hard enough on Jay. Amaya had held her hand and given her support.
She was glad that Jay was happy now. With a child that she would love on the way. Which had brought Amaya to a question of her own. Would the child or Jay suffer from that decision?
"Jay, do you remember when we were eighteen? That special little secret of ours that I named Lenore? I have to wonder, for your sake. Will that effect you or your child in anyway?" She asked, softly.

"Um, Yes, it will. The baby might have a few complications but nothing permanent. The pregnancy has been a little complicated, and the birth will be hard. I was surprised i got pregnant again to be truthful.." Jay said. Jay had never thought she would live to be married and when she was she never thought she would be granted to have another kid.

"Yeah, I know. Maybe the gods just like you. Well, they probably like me more though." Amaya said. "You remember just last year? How we ran around at all hours of the night having fun and playing games, trying to recapture something of our broken childhoods before we had to grow up."

"Yeah.... Every thing is just complecated now. I mean I'm happy but people are dieing I can't see most of my old friends. Things were sometimes simpler when we could just get drunk and have fun." Jay said

"Yeah. I know. But you know what? I'm happier now. I'm actually of use to someone and someone loves me for me, not just because their drunk enough. Maybe, just maybe this was all meant to happen, like some sort of grand plan. Whatever. I'm happy this way." Amaya said.

"Yeah a grand plan, probably concocted by Gods or Goddesses with a sick sense of humor. But in the end i guess it all works out." Jay said. She was happy with Charlie it just took a while to get there.

"Anything that knows the meaning of life and our purpose has a sick sense of humor. What else would you expect from something that knows everything?" Amaya said. "Any higher power out there is going to be sick and sadistic."

Jay smiled. "Yeah they tend to be. But depending on belief they don't know every thing if they give you free will. They are just like a major time physic.

"So? They're still cruel, sadistic, and rather ugly." Amaya said. "There I said it. God you must be ugly since there are no pictures of you."
She shouted the last part heavenward.

"No one wants a picture of an ugly person. Ugly people are unloved, ergo no god can be pictured as ugly. That's why there are no pictures of God. He's ugly. We figured it out Jay!" Amaya said.
(ooc. if i believed in hell, i'd so be going to it for this. )

"Yeah! Well, they did fall to the Romans, so it's not a big surprise. Plus they were all drunk. Like they knew anything." Amaya said.

"The Romans were severally drunk too. And they had the same good looking gods, I mean even until the Christians came...." Jaysn said.

"Yeah. Stupid sober christians." Amaya muttered. "Though can you blame the Romans? They were pretty hot. They had to make gods who were just as hot"
