"Umm.. I was thinking about going over to visit Kayla and Sheanah. I think at least one of them survived the battles." Damion said. "I don't know where Sophie lives but Kayla and Sheanah will be near Peter probably."

"Yeah. Sophie lives in the house across the street. I'll walk with you." Abigail said. She got her basket and got ready to go.
"Ready?" Abby asked.

Damion looked at himself. "Yeah I'm ready." They walked out side it was kinda cold but not too bad. Like always they didn't really know what to say to each other. Things were still pretty weird.

It was rather ackward still. She knew it was going to be odd, but she didn't think it would as ackward as it was. Maybe they just needed sometime. Maybe they would go back to the way things were.
"How were things back in the old village?" Abby asked, trying to ease some of the tension, which was so thick that, as Sonja used to say, you couldn't cut it with a butcher's knife.

"Every thing was fine. I ran into Jay at her cabin." Damion said. The words were followed by another silence. After a few minutes Damion grabbed Abby's arm, "Abby, What is going on with us? We are so awkward."

"I don't know Damion. If I did, don't you think I would do something about it! I mean, I've tried. But I can't turn back time you know! Don't you think if I could, what happened would have been changed?" Abby said.

Damion was taken a bit aback by this. He did love her, but if she wanted to change it. "Oh, we could try and just not see each other for a while." Damion said.

"Is that what you want?" Abby said, her voice low, sad, and crushed. "Then fine." She dropped her basket and ran home, crying.

Damion watched Abby run away. He wanted her to stay and say they shouldn't but they really did need space. He turned and headed toward Kayla's house. She would let him sleep at her place. 'At least i don't have to lie to her about anything," Damion thought.

Abby, well she didn't think she should stay in the settlement. But where was she supposed to go? She then remembered the Crescent base. Lily was there, and Amaya had told her that she was as good as an aunt to Lily. Maybe she should go there for alittle while. It would do her some good.
She packed her bags and left the next morning.

Damion asked Kayla to check on Abby the next morning because he may not be allowed to talk to her per last nights declaration but he still loved her. When Kayla came back though she had a note from Abby and said she wasn't there.

Kayla came to Damion with the obvious bad news. At least Abby left a note. It wasn't long, but at the same time, Kayla felt like maybe there shouldn't have been a note to begin with and that Abby should have stayed.
Her note read:
Dear who it may concern, I'm leaving the settlement for awhile. I know where I'm going to go and what I'm going to do. Don't worry about me. Give my house to someone who needs it. I may or may not be back soon. Please tell Damion that I was telling the truth in the woods. He'll know what it means. Abigail
She looked over at Damion. He looked crushed.

Damion forced a smile. "Well, I hope she is happy where ever she is." Damion said. "Uh, I'm going to go on a walk. I'll see you a little later." He got up and started walking, completely numb.
